Hello everyone,

sadly my 1st post here is about a problem rather than an appreciation.

Here is the issue:

When I turn the key the lights on the dashboard come on as normal but is sounds like there is no attempt to start the engine.
I realized the clock was reset.
The air conditioner does not work but everything else does, side lights, fog lights.

Could this be a flat battery?
If it is likely to be, which one would I need?

the exact model is 206, 1.4, 16v petrol (2005)- Sport

Please advise.

thank you.

Air con won't work without engine running. Sounds like a flat battery.

Could be a flat battery due to a dead or dying alternator. Get the charging circuit tested before splashing out on anything.

It`s blue, 5 doors.
Anyway, I will try a new battery tomorrow and take it from there. My main worry is if the alternator is faulty.
I'll let you know.

Thanks!

So why not get it tested first?
