Hi all my PPT30 has stopped displaying the temperature and time/date etc. it illuminates and the bulbs work fine but there are no digits. I have checked the pins inside and they are all solid. Anyone any ideas what could be wrong? I have even bought another second hand and tried it with no joy. Is there a chance a wire could be damaged which carries the data? Anyone know how I could check? Thanks in advance. Dan.

Are you sure that there isn't a dry joint on the two parts of the board?
Down to just the 1.4 HDi. Cayman Green 2.0i CC sold.

The joints looked fine. Il try some wd40 on the main plug on the back later but the pins are ok. As I said its illuminating and dimming as it should just no numbers. It stopped a while ago and then about 2 days later came back then it went again and hasn't come back since.

Double checked all the connections doesn't seem to be a problem and even checked the pins inside but they are fine. Still no display. Sad anybody have any ideas?

Don't. WD40 is conductive and you are likely to do more damage. Buy some proper electrical contact cleaner and do the job properly.
WD40 now do a contact cleaner in their specialist range. It's worth buying the right stuff and saving more expense further down the line.
