Hi last nite I was driving around and all of a sudden there was a horrible noise from front passenger side sounds like a flat tyre so pulled over it is not flat so I checked under car nothing loose I can see but alloy wheel bolts were loose any body has this or no why. The car is 206 gti y reg

Yes when you last changed the wheel you didn't tighten the bolts or you did but not good enough, so after a duration of you driving around they have got looser and looser until last night when you were lucky enough to notice it before it completely came off!

Have you got the correct bolts on?

When was the wheel last off? You or a garage?

Did you check they were tight a couple of days after they were last put on?

Thanks for replys lads the wheels were last off in January for mot garage did pads and disks . Even the locking nut was loose

And the near side is more likely to come loose because of the rotation, but 5 months later is quite a while, unless your car doesn't do much mileage. Commercial vehicles used to fit left hand thread wheel nuts on the nearside to overcome the problem of them working loose. Very rare you hear of them working loose on a car unless they weren't torqued up correctly in the first place.
