Hi all, just got my lad a 04 plate 206 1.1. The airbag light is staying on the dash, apparently it had a new battery not long ago. Having read a bit about this there seems to be various issues but were do i start. Could the battery swap have caused this? Apparently it didnt do it before. is there a way i can disconnect battery and then re connect it to possibly 'reboot it'. How can i find out fault codes without going to dealer? Thanks

Seeing as you have just got the car, have you checked the passenger airbag disarm switch on the dash hasn't been set to OFF?

If the switch is OFF the passenger airbag warning lamp will stay on all the time.

Peugeot Planet really needed to scan for airbag fault codes, stick up what area of the UK you are in as many forum members have the kit to scan 206's.

Hi, have tried the passenger airbag switch and when it is switched to off it brings up another light, so I assuming that is ok. Live near Coventry, I take it Peugeot planet is a plug in diagnostic tool.

PSA diagnostic software runs of a laptop with a special interface.

Reboot BSI unit first then, follow the link as instructions are listed here>

I thought there was only one airbag light? If thats the case are you sure the original light thats staying on is the airbag light?

Nope, there is at least 2 on a multiplexed 206.

Fair enough, never noticed, never had reason to turn the passenger bag off & the only time my airbag light comes on is during self check before starting the car.
