Does the 206 GTi have an EGR valve and if so are they as prone to clogging as Diesel EGR valves?

Also where is it situated if it has one.. a pic would be very handy]

Yes they do have one,but it don't clog as much as the Diesel engines do,because the petrol engine is much cleaner one,but it can be cleaned as a last try before replacing it,it's usually located on the top of the engine,on the passenger side, close to the inlet, will try to find a pic for you

You can remove it and add the plate from the GTi 180 but the ECU light will come on.

I'm going to make up a plate for it this week.. Should improve mileage slightly and lower the intake temps which is always good as well.

Don't think the 180 does at all. I wouldn't bother removing it. Doesn't do much anyway.

I'll find where mine is tonight post a pic and you can see if yours has one or not by comparing..

it Lowers the intake temperature and the engine will run cleaner and also help the longevity of the engine and should get a couple more mpg.

Your not throwing the dirty used gases back through your engine.

I know you said that further up the post, You can get them mapped out on my Audi for the egr and dpf (not a good idea with MOT soon) so sure enough you should be able to do the same with this.

Cars due for a Remap so I would get them to do it then.
