Hi all I just got a 1999 206 gti 138 and I love it!

it has am eml I'd like to check. I have an elm327 which doesn't seem to play ball, I guess because it's <2001?

it has the obd2 connector with 3 pins missing. can someone tell me which protocol I need before I shell out?

Paul.

Pre 2001 petrol and pre 2004 diesels are non standard so you might have to look at getting PP2000 on a laptop and the Lexia 3 cables to do anything useful.

for sale

Having said that some more expensive readers work in reading and clearing codes but you can't do much more.

It won't be ODBII compatible as that's a US protocol and EODB only came in after the dates I provided but the plugs are all standard.

Down to just the 1.4 HDi. Cayman Green 2.0i CC sold.
