Hi All, Hope your all OK i haven't checked in on here for a while.

Unfortunately as the title says I had my first little bump.

What do you guys suggest for repair?

Am I looking at 2x new bumpers and a wing to bring this back to new condition or can I buff it out somehow?

Thanks in advance

Smart repair & possibly a new fog lamp, is that the only damage to the car OR is there more?

2 bumpers? Were you the meat in a sandwich?

What normally breaks first, the fog lamp or the mountings on the bumper?

Apart from a bit of a twist in the wing below the headlamp, it looks repairable. Can't tell if the wing is dented just above the bumper, but wings on ebay are cheap as chips these days.

What would be the best way of getting this fixed?

Would it be cheaper for a smart repair or just to buy a new bumper, and wing?

I can't stand it looking like this anymore.

Polish the car a few times, maybe a bit of tcut and see what happens. Then sand that part of the bumper down and primer it until its relatively smooth. Get colour coded paint and paint the area and attempt to blend it in to the rest of the bumper. Keep redoing the paint until it's fully smoothed and then lacquer. If you aren't good at blending just repaint the whole bumper.

I have zero experience in painting on cars and don't want to make it look any worse.

How much would a bodywork shop charge to correct it, i think that's my best bet as bumpers are around £150 unpainted?

cheers

Everyone charges different prices so I can't really say. I doubt it'd be more expensive than a new bumper, though. A rough estimation would be £80 for the whole bumper repainted. If you find a professional they'll just be able to touch up the damaged area and you'd never know the difference. See who your family/friends recommend and just give whom ever a call and explain:)
