i`m sorry in advance if iv`e posted in the wrong spot Confused

my granddaughter had this game were she would push down & pull up the peg thing to lock the doors when waiting in the car, only its now broken the near side locking of the car.
the drivers door & boot still work, so i unpluged the power to passanger side door lock thinking i could open and close with the key when needed,
but the car knows there is a problem with it & reopens drivers side & boot.

My qustion, is there a way to fool the pasanger side leaving it locked manaly with key.
but still able to use centrol locking for the other two door?,
iv` pulled the fuse to car so can lock drivers side But the Boots still open, ps soz for bad spelling Rolling Eyes
many thanks for any help, i miss my 106 Crying or Very sad

The solenoid has probably gone, so needs replacing. Is it 3/5 door?

I would leave it so the peg doesn't work on that side.

Get a replacement lock 2nd hand from eBay; they're quite cheap.
Sounds like the only way to solve it.

Have a good Christmas!

I don't recall if the 3 door and 5 door solenoids are any different. I think I still have 2 units, both passenger side, knocking about here in the garage.

They were working fine when they were taken off the doors a few years ago, I had to replace my old doors due to being broken into / old door damage - and thought they'd be useful to keep seeing as it's quite common for them to go.

If they're the same, and I haven't binned them you're more than welcome to try one/them out ...

Pretty sure the 3 and 5 door solenoids are the same. the difference is whether dead locking or simple locking motors (one has more wires).

There was a thread running a while ago regarding fitting a new lock motor. I think the pre-plex and multi-plexed parts are the same, it would just require a bit of wiring adjustment.

Edit. Found the thread www.206info.co.uk/Foru...c/t=57488/

There are 9 different motors listed on servicebox for the left hand door. Not sure if this would cause any issues, but looking at 3 and 5 door lists side by side, they are the same.

many thanks for your help Very Happy , i could do with getting it fixed, at min i have to unplug a main fuse, then lock drivers door with key, passangers allready locked, but leaves boot open, looks well dodgy doing it Confused ,
i`m sorry if i repeat my self, but is it possable to leave one door unpluged from power, locked with key. BUT still be able to use key fob to lock other two doors " boot, drivers door" without having to get a new or second hand unit? at min if i do that car knows somethings wrong and opens other two doors, thanks again for your help Razz

Don't think so. I'm in similar position but no time to fix my broken solenoid just now. What I've done is disconnect both door motors (3 door) but leave boot connected. I use the key on doors as and when needed. The remote locking just does the boot, and when you come to lock the boot you have to hold in the boot handle mid point between it locking and unlocking itself. Then it stays locked.

Hope that helps
