After wacking my car back in November I replaced the radiator, fan and bumper support and bought a load of new coolant, however since getting it back on the road I've noticed a whirring noise that increases with speed and happens in any gear, if I drop the clutch or place it in neutral it stops. It also doesn't do it just turning over.
There is no loss of power, and it drives as normal but the noise is obvious cause for concern.
Can anyone shed any light or offer and advice?

Is it loud?
Do you get vibrations?
My 206s box whines a bit more in lower gears and so far I have ignored it with no issues (other than changing the gear oil, no difference made)
On the flip side, I had a Micra that had a whack on the front just before I brought it. It made a very faint whine (and bit of a grinding noise) for 35,000 miles then one day it made a racket and wobbled everywhere. When we cracked the gearbox it was a right mess inside... No idea of the whack it had was somehow related to this. When I brought it, it had only done 30K which is a little early for the gearbox to fail on its own accord...

Not while stationary, or in neutral.

Is it more apparent in lower gears, but not sure because of reduce road noise and engine noise.

No real vibrations, just noise.

More Brrr, like a Dalek in lower gears, the faster I'm going the less obvious, though the sound is still there.
