Hi everyone, long story short my clutch release bearing sounds like the end of the world after making minimal noise for the last few days, so i'll be fitting a new clutch kit when ive got time.
Aaaanywho whilst im at it i'd like to replace a couple of parts, so just wondering if anybody is able to find out these part numbers for me? I'd be eternally grateful!
1. The intermediate bearing on the driveshaft, is this available on its own? If so i need the part number for that.
2. The little sleeve (Held on by 2 or 3 10mm bolts iirc?) that goes over the input shaft.
Hopefully somebody can help! Thanks in advance

1. Its over priced about 40 to 50 quid. Wouldnt bother if i was you
2. Its called a nose cone, go to euro car parts for that, be by far cheaper

Well the trouble is, mine is pretty seized in the carrier, ive removed enough on various cars to know sometimes they just dont budge even with heat etc, so was planning to buy one just incase i have to ruin mine getting it out.

Soak with WD40 and get a big a**e hammer
Avoid hitting the plastic, but im sure it will eventually shift!

Yeah think im going to have to, fancied getting a spare one just incase but if they are that kind of money i think ill just be careful where im hitting lol!

I had the exact same issue, that bearing was stuck, even with a buckrake tine out the passengerside and a hammer
I removed the gearbox and left the shaft in.
Then had a bit of wood and a hammer and knocked it out afterwards.
Cleaned the carrier, replaced and all good now.
I also replaced the sleeve the release bearing runs on...clutch is feather light now.

I think im going to do it that way to be honest after having a better look at it. Had to do it that way once on my old saxo vts too haha.
Aaaand ive bought my clutch etc today and also the sleeve haha  heres hoping for a nice light clutch then!
