When turning the cold engine in the morning, the car sound to be working with only 3 cylinders. After few seconds it go to the normal situation. The problem has started yesterday and happen every time the car is cold. Could this be a sign of faulty ignition coil? Or spark plugs?
My ignition coil is 7 yrs old and it is Bougicord not Sagem.
My car is 1.4 <2000 8v

Hamed,
I would take the spark plugs out and check the colour of them... If one is black/oily or very wet then I would say the plugs need changing. If they are all normal colour then it may be a coil pack issue

The engine would start fine at the morning. But in the middle of the day when you try to turn on the engine and the car is quite hot, it turns but the car will keep jerking for few minutes.
At the first time this jerk happened, it was few days ago and I thought it is working with 3 cylinders, so I re checked the coil pack and replaced the spark plugs.
My fuel pump is new and so my fuel filter.
Any advice?

I did replace the spark plugs but the problem is still happening. I bought a new coil pack, the problem disappeared but the car will jerk after the engine is turned on. It is very noticeable at the middle of the day when engine is quite hot, not in the morning.
PS: I heard that Bougicord coil packs don't fail quickly. Mine failed after 80K miles (5 yrs). Is this normal?

Clear fault codes. Drive the car for a few days and re-read the codes. Hopefully there is one that will give a better indication of the problem. My money is on crank sensor but do a code read.

My crank sensor is new. I replaced it just few months ago so I'm ruling it out. Could this be the Oxygen sensor?

Clear the codes and drive the car until you get the miss fire again. Re-read the codes.
Also if it was a cheap ebay sensor it could be that sensor failed again.

The problem is that old 206 don't give any readings about sensor failure! My crank sensor was from Lambdapower.co.uk and it is FACET which is an Italian brand.

I'm suspecting the Oxygen sensor, any idea?
Mine was fitted 4 yrs ago, and done 70K miles. It was NGK direct fit sensor.

Failing on hot re-start my money always goes on crank sensor.
