I have just bought a 206 registered in March 2002, unfortunately it has no Central Locking keyfob, a friend of mine can program a new one in but i don't know which one to get
any suggestions?

You have the choice of 4 or 5 circuit boards. They are not cross compatible. You'll also need the immobiliser chip programming and the remote circuit board pairing with the car using the security code and PP2000.
If your mate has the equipment to program the remote fob, then he should be able to find out which circuit board you need.
