Hello People.
i planning to built an ew10j4s engine (gti 180) and i have some ideas.
I saw a friend honda with a B16/b18 franky project and we start look into the peugeot engines, now we wonder is its posible to built a ew12block from a 407 with a ew10j4s and assemble the engine into a 206 RC.
Any ideas, information or comment is welcome.

I'm not going to be much help on this as I don't no. You need people like Edward, macj , usher , schumi to help on this one.
Anything is possible but how deep are your pockets, some of the lads I no run vauxhall pistons in a French head but I don't no why but there must be a reason.
Also there will be people like
Pug1off.
Ecosse. (Watch out for these.)
Constella
Satchell engineering
There are many more company's who could help you out there

So lets make some homework.
EW12 engine have 96 stoke very heavy crankshaft. Its good for low and middle rpm range. But due Bore / Stroke and Rod / Stroke ratio this engine isnt suitable for high rpm usage. Cylinder head of EW12 engine is actually base of EW10J4S (GTI180) head. Lots of people think GTI 180 head developed over GTI 138 head but this is complete wrong. GTI 180 head is developed over EW12 head. So you can use EW12 head but if you have GTI 180 head then use it.
Rods very heavy on EW12 again. Also compression ratio slightly lower then GTI 180. A good engine rebuilder can make a little head skim on cylinder head for rising compression ratio. Also it would be good to use Catcams 804 camshaft for GTI180. Change inlet manifold with GTI180 one they you are. You have 2.2 GTI 180. Its little over GTI180.
Until now all of this for bone stock bottom end solutions. If you have deep pocket or you rob a bank then you can build a Frankenstein engine from EW12 engine. As what I'm doing know.
I'm building a 106 GTI race car with EW12 powered but my plan is different. I'm building destroked engine to 2.1 displacement for better revving capability. Its all motor and all parts forged.
If you have really considering to build an engine like this your best bet on Sandy Brown. And his business partner Colin Satchell (Satchell Engineering). I made my own specs but I ask several questions to Sandy. His very kind person to help others.

Hey.
Thanks for all that info.
i have some experience on a franky with honda. And yes i will rob a bank :).We are planning to invest on this and use ITBĀ“s cams and forged pistons with some oversize if its possibe.
Would be great if you share some information related to parts and how the process of your engine goes.
Also since this project will be the first RC franky here will are considering to buy a head in uk and send it to MED-ENgineering.
Regards
Also we will like to know which parts u use.
So far our project is at 0% since we still looking for the best car to buy.
