Nice video mate sounds good as well.
The main thing is you enjoyed it.
Are you running bigger callipers and discs or just normal stuff?

Cheers yeah it's really fun but I wish it wasn't my car so I could thrash it even more without caring
Discs and pads are a priority over caliper size for sure. The 283s weigh a ton so the only viable upgrade would be brembos or aftermarket ones which then means spacers or different wheels most likely.
I think with these 206 gti calipers and some ds2500 pads it would stop 10 times better and last a lot longer - I could only manage about 8 laps before brake fade.
On another note I managed to drop a crowbar on the floor for it to bounce perfectly into the passenger door and dent it

Few updates since last time.
Put another gearbox on, this time off a S2 rallye to try and keep the revs down on the motorway - hasn't changed at all which is odd...
Threw in a new valeo clutch kit while I was at it and some new top mounts to try and stop the knocking when turning (found out afterwards it was the pinch bolt from the steering rack to the steering gear not being tight enough).
I then tackled the initial resistance when pressing the throttle down (got some odd looks at the traffic lights when trying to set off slowly).
A small fortune later I ended up with a small bag of components from Jenvey.
And after a lot of adjustment it looked like this.

It's now quite a pleasure to drive - although now there is two springs it's pretty hard to push. Will look into making it softer it if I don't get use to it.
Popped along to Pugfest and took a couple of pictures and videos, car performed pretty well struggling to find things to improve on to be honest.

Awesome as usual mate, those trumpets are very close to the scuttle, are you going to cut it? Seen people with longer bodies doing that.

The pictures make them look closer than they are - the brake bar connecting to the servo is actually the issue as the manifold doesn't tilt upwards towards to the top of the scuttle like most manifolds. This one is almost straight back. As a result they have all have been cut at the bottom to make sure it doesn't catch the car under acceleration. One of them has been cut quite a lot you just can't see from the top.
Now the setup is complete I'm just going to enjoy it. If it comes apart again I would like to rebuild it with a high compression setup in which case bigger trumpets would be on the cards. Then a new manifold to clear the brake bar.
If I had to cut the scuttle I would get a left hand drive wiper motor fitted, more room for a filter!

Another nice video man! See what you meant by getting the power down out of the corners, especially Fradley Hairpin onto Shenstone Straight i believe it is?

this is my mates old car. it's good to see it back together as i spent far too much time on that car for it to end up in bits like it did. he never should have sold it
if you want another rallye you can buy either of mine, blue or white

Not sure on the corner names to be honest mate!
That video was the fastest run of the day, if I fed the power in early it just pulled the car too wide on the exit and wasted time. As a result just getting it straight as soon as possible proved better even if it felt a bit rough. Not sure what I need to do to rectify it.

Glad I don't disappoint! The two owners before me just had it sitting around for a few years with the plan to build it but never did...
Which owner was your mate? If I had time and money for another project I definitely would

It was the hairpin on to the long straight, 5th or 6th corner from the start I think.
The car doesnt seem to have excessive body roll and weight transfer seemed well balanced from the video. When you say pulling wide are we talking torque steer or just to much power and not enough track lol
