so my clutch has just went on my Gti180. it had clutch judder. i wont have the time to send my flywheel away to be skimmed. so my question is, is it worth getting a billet lighten and balanced flywheel plus VALEO clutch kit? i've been reading its pointless just fitting a new clutch

Might or might not be relevant but my clutch judder went completely away when replacing the oil seals behind and around the flywheel, had a nasty leak. The flywheel itself was untouched but a new bolt set was installed on it along with a new clutch cable.

Flywheel is only needed if it is badly scored and that is quite rare. Save your money if you can or am I just an old fart!

The flywheel on the GTI 180 can suffer from slight warping.

There has been a few on here who have had to have either a skim or replacement flywheel when doing the clutch kit.

Thank you MrBSI. Warped flywheels that's a new one on me but I have no doubt, nor should the OP, that his will need to be checked for "trueness."
