Hello!

It all started in december when I was leaving my girlfriends place as usually but when I hit the clutch pedal it dropped all the way to floor with no effect to the actual clutch

After that it was loose and I thought the clutch cable broke, but no, after raising the pedal by hand back to its default position it started to work again, I was confused!

After that, the next day, it happened again, once, then there were no clutch problems til last week, all the sudden, the clutch pedal went loose again, but as I raised pedal back to default position it started functionig..

It happened again just now and I am just tired of it, and would like to know what could it be and what can be done?

My peugeot is from early 2006 if that makes difference

Kind regards,
Pasi

I had the same problem as you. The auto adjuster is failing. This is part of the clutch cable and you'll need to fit a new clutch cable to fix it.

Which engine is it & is it left hand OR right hand drive.

The clutch is either cable operated OR hydraulic, which set up you have depends which engine you have & which side the steering wheel is on.

It will be a CABLE clutch on yours as it's left hand drive.

So the auto adjuster is failing and I'll need the cable changed?

Hopefully it doesnt break alltogether before I get it changed

If your lucky it will be the auto adjusting cable BUT the clutch on the MA gearbox is known for the release bearing to eat its way through the pressure plate springs given very much the same symptoms.

Cross your fingers & replace the cable BUT also don't be surprised if it wants the clutch kit replacing.
