So have a 2001 peugout that my mum has been using.

She has just taken it in for a service with a mechanic that i am not too sure on tbh. She got this list back -

Brake fluid change
Odometer illumination
rear wiper blade
coolant container poor condition and rusty
oil leak nearside shaft
offside rear radius arm bush worn out requires replacement rear axle
offside front lower suspension arm bush coming away from arm
offside front tyre worn on edge
clock illumination not working
heater nor working
nearside front suspension arm rear bush in poor condition
nearside front brake hose perished
play in nearside rear wheel bearing
peugot recommend that the timing cam belt fitted replaced at 80,000 miles belt failure would cause breakdown and serious engine damage.

She was told that the car isn't worth saving, and instead they will do a part exchange for £200. I just wanted to get an idea on repairs for the essential needs on the list above. Things like the clock illumination, heater not working have been problems for a while and not big issues to me.

So any tips on how much these would be to cost/whether its worth going for a part exchange would be fab,

Thanks All

Axle, bottom arms, wheel bearing and timing belt would be my first things to do

This is not a peugeot fault, its just a car that hasnt been looked after. But they are correct, unless the car is very low mileage and new just sell it as spares/repair

Yeah I'm pretty sure I will have to sell for repairs.
Out of interest do you happen to know a ball park figure for the work you mentioned would be priority?

Fair few hundred tbh. Rear axle will be a bit. As said. Probably cheaper to scrap

Main dealer or large garage and that lot will go to or over £1,000. Even a one man band and it won't be cheap!

Try ebay spares or repairs listing the faults. Buyer takes away cash on collection. You might be surprised what it sells for.
