Hi guys,

Random one but I started the car (2nd time in the day) today and strangely the centre console clock/date unit reset itself.

Anyone know why something like that could happen? Its like when disconnecting/reconnecting the battery?

Cheers,

hmm not sure. But sometimes it takes longer to start the car too - I might actually get the battery replaced tbh!

Do you get any bong sounds when you try and start the car?

I had this problem, at the start of winter. Every time I try to change the time and date back it makes the BONG sound on next startup and resets the whole date and time again. I got told to check my battery which I did. Gave it a charge but it still does it.

Starts up first time every morning since beginning of winter

I havent worried about it

Well having the BONG sound, means that your battery is about to be dead, and maybe it starts up your car every morning from first time, but that does not mean it's good, the problem you gonna face is not in the short run,but in the long run,it will cause you a problem in the needles of your cluster, usually the temp. gauge, and the ECU will have a problem too,as low voltage is not good for it :(...
My advice to you and him,is to replace the battery.
