Hey all,
I have a problem with my headlights. When turned on at night they seem to be facing too far down towards the road and not out in front of me like they should. I've tried using the white adjustment screw on the head lights themselves but it doesn't seem to make a difference. When I adjust them using the switch inside the car I can hear the motor churning and they move only slightly but they are still facing way to low...
Any idea's?

Consistent on both sides? Is this new behaviour?
Decent quality bulbs? I've seen El cheapos with the filament misplaced in the glass or the glass crooked in the metal socket. Can end up pointing any which way.
Bulbs seated properly in the socket in the reflector? Have had bulbs ending up crooked when I've rushed things.
What headlights? OEM or aftermarket? Had a set of angel eyes that with the OEM adjustor motor pointed quite high even when adjusted fully down...
Front ever had crash damage? the mountings for the lights might not be aligned properly...
for the manual adjuster not doing anything - once it reaches its limit, it'll sort of just 'click over', which one might feel if paying careful attention, and not move further. If you turn it the other way, does the aim move further down?
<aiming low and minimal adjuster effect might be that the adjuster ball head isn't engaged in the track/slot its supposed to be in, but instead just pushing at the back of the fitting with the slot, pushing it all forward/the aim down....

This. I've heard of other people with a similar problem and when they have checked, they have put the bulb in and not lined up the lugs with the correct slot.

Well what guys said,and if all is good,it's better to visit a tech. who can adjust the lights with the machine,and according to the law,as too much high can be harmful to other drivers facing you at night.
