So I've got a little 1.1i 206 mechanically the car is running sweet, no leaks or squeaks which is always good and under the car is very clean for its age (15 years old), there's a bit of paint that's flaked off behind both front wheels on the tops of the sills (can just see on the last picture) and has the classic tiny spots where the paint has bubbled in a couple places but nothing a few hours prep and paint won't fix, also the previous owner had a few bumps as both front wings are slightly dented and a couple of other tiny dents but other then that the shell is sound too. Il get all this done though as nobody wants to be driving around in a beat up car in summer
I was at the scrap yard and couldn't resist taking off a sport front bumper as the SP grill was with it, got the whole thing for £20 so really could not resist lol but got to go back for the front wings too soon.
Next stage is to pickup some wheels I've bought this Friday, some 205 pepper pots, then I have to get some tyres, I hate having steelies but will keep one as my spare wheel as one has a brand new tyres on it. Also I need to fit new anti roll links and suspension legs, the top bearing on the drivers side is seized but there's no point just changing one, I just know this is a pain to do so id rather wait for the new CV joints to turn up so I can do it all at once. Oh and a K&N panel filter.
After the wheels and tyres I'm going to get some GTI front seats front the scrapyard, hoping to get a set of powerflex bushes all round as well as vented discs but i've got to pick up the callipers for them, I already have the discs and fresh pads but I recently found out I need the wider callipers.
I've already given the car a new radiator, changed the oil, uprated gear linkages and full short shift kit, the sport front bumper with upper and lower SP grills, a new alternator (done by garage) and a full new front to back exhaust including cat, removed the restrictive stock cold air feed and added my own that now goes to the wheel liner and a little breather filter on the crankcase as my breather pipe snapped.
Even though its only a 1.1 its nippy for getting around town now and picks up speed when it needs to which is all I need out of it for now as its my little family car. Once I get another car (possibly a 207) it would be a shame to let this go so il probably end up turning it into a track car but when that happens il be saying goodbye to the 1.1 motor.
I did go out earlier when it was light to get some more photos but my phone died soon after, anyway enough talk for now haha.

Looks like some good work has gone into the car so far, where did you get the short shifter kit from?

Thanks mate, at some point I want to fill in where the fog lights are as they're only for display right now as the wiring isn't there so im thinking of making cutouts from the standard bumper as its got the fog mounts on the back but no holes then adding a fibreglass patch on the back once the cutouts are in place then fill on the front and respray, also I've never seen a 206 with the pepperpots so it will be unique unless there is another haha.

You could just leave the front fog lamps where they are then keep an eye on Ebay for the retro fit kit that Peugeot does, they do show up from time to time.
The kit has everything you need to retrofit the front fog lamps / get them working if you already have them.

I could easily pickup the wiring off of a 206 with the stalk for front fogs at the scrapyard for £4 but will end up filling the holes probably when I get the new front wings as I've got no reason to remove the bumper right now. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Getting one step closer to being done.
Picking up some alloy wheel nuts friday, then the next step is to get the gti front wings.

Thanks man, glad I finally got a reply haha, not much interest in a little 1.1 im guessing, im just trying to think about a space saver now until I get round to getting another speedline, im guessing the standard 206 space saver would not work as ive had to go lower profile for these wheels as they're slightly wider.
