My car has been almost perfect for months now, after a believed cam sensor fault.
I went to start my car one day and it wouldn't start. the airbag light had came on, whilst it was on I couldn't hear the usual sound of the fuel pump, I thought maybe the pump was dead or an inertia switch had been triggered.
For the whole day the car would not start. the next day I turned on to ignition and the airbag light was still there, again wouldn't start i turned it on and off and then on the second time it started. the airbag light goes off and then the car will start
for the next few days i checked this and it was all relatively the same, i found that plugging in my OBD2 adapter and doing a fault scan helped (no results) helped it to start.
Anyway I'm reluctant to pay the garage tons to try and fault find, My car is 52 plate model and i cant see any under seat connector thing at all. I believe my comm2000 unit could be defective
when changing a comm2000 unit will I need an airbag code to reset things or any special electronics to make it work again?
I've heard there's a ghetto fix to put some resistors inline from the airbag ecu does anyone have a step by step guide on this?

Check the battery connections, battery condition & also alternator charging system.
The airbag warning light will come on for low / high battery voltage as the system will shut down to protect itself.
The airbag system on the 206 is pretty simple, every time you turn the ignition ON the system performs a self test, if the airbag ecu is happy with the self test results the warning light will then go out & the system is armed.

Just tested my battery voltage, it was reading 12.20 volts so i'm guessing its fine? the terminals are clean and the alternator seems to be secure.

12.2V (with no load drawing current) is only about 35% charge level, so pretty low. 100% charge is 12.6-12.65V
I'd place the battery on a charger. Once charged and you hopefully get the car running, check the voltage across the battery while at elevated idle, about 1500 RPM, to check alternator and regulator. 14 to14.4V would be good.

will try this once i get hold of a charger next week, how ever I don't understand how i can start the car sometimes? and then sometimes not start it? not to mention the battery light doesn't come on when I've failed to start? I'm guessing thats down to pug logic?

In your first post say "wouldn't start", did it crank but not fire, or simply nothing?
If cranking, was it normal/brisk, or sluggish?
If the starter or its solenoid is sticky, or for some other reason not move the starter axle properly into position to engage the teeth on the... flywheel(?), the contact to power the starter also doesn't closes. Given a few tries, something might move slightly and allow things to move properly

Sorry my bad thats a really misleading title, I didnt think that through Basically it starts sometimes and other times not and the airbag light
is only on when it wont start, when flicking the ignition on and off sometimes the airbag light will go off and then the car will start, sometimes flicking between wont cure the problem.
