Hi guys my 206 1.4 petrol has had a miss fire so had the diagnostics done and was told permanent misfire on number for cylinder. Stuck in a new set of plugs, no change so tested the wiring going to injectors, all good so got a new coil pack. Still had the misfire so have now fitted a new injector on number four cylinder and now the bugger just wont start!
Iv had the lot in and out three times now and cant see any problems.
Anyway charged the battery overnight stuck it on this morn and she fired straight up, but then died after 3-4 seconds and now just turns over and wont start. Any ideas guys??
Cheers steve.

You do know that number 1 cylinder on a PSA engine is at the gearbox end?
Catches a lot of people out.
Did you lube the injector o rings?
Not dislodged any when refitting the fuel rail?

As long as the part numbers match up, 206 petrol injectors are plug & play, they don't require coding.

Have you tested to see what happens when you put the old injector back in?

Went down to my mates garage last night and he told me the injector doesnt need coding only the diesel ones do.
I hate to admit this publicly but i think it might just have run out of petrol! The petrol light had been on for a few miles ( i was determined to get the thing to run right before filling her up ) and she is now sat half on/off the pavement, so there is a good chance a gallon or two of petrol will sort the problem. I will get a couple of cans later and see what happens.
Cheers steve.
