Hi everyone, I have a 2003 1.4i 2003 206. It has started missing when the engine gets up to 80 degrees.
I had it checked in the garage and he recorded an error code which suggested that injector no one was faulty. After this I replaced fuel injector 1 and replaced all spark plugs. However the fault is still there.
After speaking to the mechanic he suggested it is a faulty ECU.
Have any of you had a similar problem? If so I would love some advice.
I thought I might change the coil pack first before sending the ECU of for testing, or is this a waste of money? Thank Pete.

Injector number one is on the gearbox side, hopefully you know that. I doubt it’s an ECU problem.

Yes I change the right one, looked it up on youtube before I attempted it
Do you think I should try the coils next?

When you say the fault is still there, do you mean an ecu code or just the engine missing? Coil pack would be my next call

Hi Steve, I mean the engine missing. It cost me £20 for the testing, so I am hoping to fix without another test. I think I will try a new coil pack next

£20 for testing the codes is good .. around here it's at least £40 plus VAT and at a dealer double-that ..
but that does assume that the code reader they used is reading the Pug correctly. Even if it is post 2001 there are some "idiosyncrasies" with PSA cars and EOBD diagnostic scanners ..
