hey there. Sad times, looks like im gunna be scrapping my 206. but am replacing it with a 306. The thing is, i still got half a tank of fuel in the 206. A family member said some cars are fitted with a device that stops you being able to siphon the petrol out of the tank, is anything like this fitted to a 206?

Why are you scraping it?
Has it crashed?
Otherwise you could just keep driving it a bit so you get to use the petrol.

its leaking oil like there's no tomorrow. Has plenty of other issues too, and just dont have the cash to get it fixed! Been offered a 60k 306 xsi 2.0 and all i have to pay is to put tax on it, so jumped at it. may well list the car as spares or repairs yet. still got 5months tax and mot til end of june (i thinks).

You need to remove the petrol tank and then poor the petrol into a container and then put it in another car. It's a 2 man job and u get covered in petrol .

Just connect the pump direct to a battery and instead of the pipe going to the engine, you put it into a jerry can or even easier is to access the tank from on top and stick your pipe in there to syphon it out.

Take the back seats out, and do it from the above, by remove the pump, as macca said.

Undo that big black plastic ring & lift the sender unit out.
It will unscrew but it will be tight.
The pipes will be clipped on, normally press a clip in to release the pipe, again these will be tight.

Thanks. Sorry to be thick but when it's unscrewed what do I do? Does that expose the inside of the tank to put a pipe in to?

The white plastic piece will lift out exposing the inside of the fuel tank.

Sorry - forgot to say thanks. I've not managed to get round to doing it yet, but your advice is most appreciated.
