They are abit small, would've been better with the 16" versions

He means lowering to compensate for the smaller wheels as there is too much arch room.

Thought thats what he meant, just front lowering then(actually how do you lower the rear anyway?), I was thinking about that but parents arnt pleased with the idea as they say its a modification so the insurance with go right up,

Looking good alloys set it off nicely

How much has your insurance gone up by adding your alloys then?

Depend who your with and your age as some insurance companys wont cover cars with mods for young people even if they are genuine maker ones.

I had to ring a few when I put alloys on my 106 as most wouldnt entertain me with them on.

Your insurance shouldnt go up that much if you do decide to lower it. My insurance went up £40 when i got a full bodykit and everything else to go along with it.

Plus if its your insurance and you pay, what does it matter what your M&D think?

It matter because its not under my name yet lol When it is i'll do what I like to it but untill then everything has to go through them.
£40 wow that is not as much as I expected but bare in mine that i'm not even driving this yet so when I do it will be for a 17yr old insurance,

I was surprised at it aswell, i was only 23 at the time.

Have you actually passed your test yet

To be honest then I would personally stop modding as you are going to be paying a high price for insurance as it is due to your age, which is a shame but thats how it is.

Wait until you have a couple of NB's behind you.

Well im not going to mod it much now, just wanted to get the alloys on it because I dont like the look of steels and hubcaps.
Nope not passed it yet, i'm 16 and drive it about once a week on private land. My parents were worried about me getting a moped because i'm not that stable on a push bike lol so they let me get my car early to do some stuff to it early and get a head start on learning to drive which is going well Very Happy
