#1: My M3 CSLike pretty much finished Author: Len_Beach, Location: LeedsPosted: Wed Jun 23, 2010 2:04 pm ---- As she's now pretty much as I want here, other than a damn good clean, I thought I'd stick some pic's up.
She is filthy and the pictures aren't the best but you get the idea.
As she started (not mine but the same barring the leather).
As she stands now.
C&C welcome.

Cheers Ash. It's a full carbon fibre genuine CSL job. Without it, the car just looked like a modded 330 IMO.
The feed on mine goes to the bottom of the airbox. On the CSL, it runs to the base of the carbon airbox.

The front bumper does gorw on you. I was never too bothered but as I started to collect the CSL bits, I just had to have one.

Thanks Dave.
The CSL does have a carbon roof. This is a standard M3 with CSL wheels, bumper, bootlid and rear diffuser.

That was a bit of a myth. They had a compressed paper based boot floor mat which was marginally lighter.

Swap for your Pro Race's LOL.
You'll have one in good time I'm sure Jamie. One tip when you get one, replace the rear shock mounts and rear trailing arm bushes and fit 12mm spacers. The car is transformed.

It's on Eibach springs mate, althought I may step up to HSD coilovers if it doesn't settle a little further.
I park in a multi storey though during the week so I can't go too low.

I paid £970 this year through Greenlight with all mods declared, 27 with 7 years NCB and full business useage.
I'm not a fan of LSB, mainly due to the interior. Not much you could swap it for though without clashing.

I have but I'm a bit of an OEM+ ho'. BBS LM's though are an option.

Thanks Nitro', they definitely make the car. They're 19" genuine CSL's. You can get smaller reps. Just make sure you get some with a rear dish and preferably with serial numbers around the centre cap.

The quotes I've seen on M3cutters are around about 1700 max for your sort of age. You just need to shop around.
The CSL seats would fit, from what I've seen they're about £1,000 or you can pick up a full interior for £2k.
I'm quite broad though so don't fit in the seats.
If you're thinking of swapping the interior, it may be worth going straight into a CSL as you can pick them up for £22-24k if you bide your time. All depends on budget though.

Some pic's from ages ago, prior to lowering etc. I think it looks much more exclusive now.

Wheels were from a member on M3cutters, Bootlid was from CA Automotive, Front bumper was from a member on CSL Register.
I'd highly recommend he goes for genuine across the board as fitment is so easy and re-sale value is much greater. The only part that I couldn't source was the diffuser however the fit of my rep' is excellent and about 1/6th the price of genuine.

Difficult to say as prices were all over the place 6 months ago however they've stabilised now. I always keep my standard parts so I can put it back to standard in a day.
I wouldn't sell the base car for less than £15k or £18k as it stands now although I reckon I could add another £2k to that if sold seperatley.

I agree Brian although they do look good when cleaned. The majority came with the optional 19's.
