Thought would make a thread on my car, how it came....what I've done.......what looking to do in the future!!
Bought the car in Feb 2009 for £2000. Is a 2001 Pug 206 GTi 138, had about 78,000 miles on clock, service history and am the second owner.
Car already had a few mods to it like GT front and rear bumpers, corner splitters, side skirts, arch extensions, 17" OZ Superleggera's. Also the car has full black leather seats.
A little pic of the car on the first day,
Soon as got the car the cam belt was done, also did an oil filter and oil change, spark plugs, new disc and pads all round.
First thing i got was the Green Cotton Dynamic Induction Kit, comes with Hard Pipe and heat shield too,
Next i decided to paint the calipers red on the front and rear, not really got a pic of doing this but this is the best image i have really,
Top few bits done around May 2009
Removed the old corner splitters off the car and decided to fit a Seat Leon cupra splitter in July 2009
In the mean time had been saving for a new exhaust system as the old one was on its last legs. Had a custom made stainless steel cat back system done by company near to me called Pipewerx, really impressed with the job, design and sound
Exhaust was done September 2009
Old
New
Come Novemver time i was thinking the car was looking a bit too high and the wheels.....well they had hardly any paint on them! Decided to take the car off the road to have some new suspension, tidy a few bits up and get the wheels refurbed. Few pics of what went on etc
Went for the Spax PSX kit as it has the adjustable dampers, lowered the car 30mm at the front and decided at 45mm on the rear to make it sit even both sides. Also had get new wishbones for the front and the rear needed new fuel tank strap.
Old Suspension
New Kit
Wheels went off to be refurbed and resprayed in Anthracite, didnt manage get a pic of a wheel before first went but am sure you can tell the difference lol
Old
New
Decided to get some cleaning done under the bonnet, arches, brakes and give the car a T Cut
Come begining of January was time to put the wheels on and get the Pug back on the road i couldnt wait as had been driving a Micra since November lol!!
Thats pretty much it, had an incident involving a pot hole and my passengers side drive shaft that gone done in a day though and with some luck no damage was done to the new refurbed rims lol!!
This is how the car is now looking at the moment
Next plans on the list are some Ecosse Esquiss GT Corner Splitters, thinking of some Carbon Fibre bits spoiler, bonnet and possibly the wing mirror caps from ecosse. Got a new CD player on order and possibly thinking of changing the speakers.
Hope you enjoyed the read and all comments etc welcome

#7: Re: 206 GTi Author: Matt, Posted: Wed Jul 14, 2010 4:23 pm ---- think i saw this car at blackpool last year. looks very nice too. good choice ditching the corner splitters and the cupra splitter. looks miles better lowered too. wheels are nice, i cant remember seeing those on a 206 before.
i did go with the 206 info lot to Blackpool last year, car wasnt lowered or the wheels had not been done either.
really didnt like the original corner splitters and the cupra one kept catching. The GT corner ones i have coming look real nice and cant wait get them sprayed and fitted, may add a bit more depth in the bumpers.
thanks for all the comments guys, really want to keep it just tastefully modded

I am thinking of going for the phase 2 rear strip, not to sure about the lights as i really dont mind the phase 1 rear lights.
