here's a couple of shots of my 206 that I took yesterday on the college parking lot:
did some photoshopping as well, so there it was.
(the fisheye effect was really exaggerated on the bottom pic, I know)
pictures were taken w/ a Canon EOS 1000D + EF-S 18-55mm IS lens, ISO was set to 200.
will update soon with more photos soon

okay, so I thought I'd add a word or two about how I got started with this blue 206.
back in 2003, this car was loaned to my family, particularly because we only had 1 car at the time, and we were waiting for the delivery of a brand-new toyota from the dealership. so, in the dire need of an additional vehicle, my mom's friend had this car sent to our family's driveway.
right at the very moment I drove it, I knew I was in love: never before a 1.4 litre 8-valve engine felt so eager and snappy, happily revving whenever I buried my right foot to the floor. I then took it to the motorway just for kicks, and boy I swear the thing handles so well, I blasted past the traffic like hot knife through butter. and after all is said and done, I managed to do 11-13ish kilometers per litre on RON 92 gas.
sharp response, superb handling, and great fuel economy... I knew I had to have one.
I asked my mom to ask her friend if the car's for sale... too bad it wasn't.
so I waited, waited, and waited...
7 years of waiting, and finally the owner told my mom that the car's up for sale, and my mom told me so.
not long after, I got a phone call telling me to pick up the car at the owner's house... and so off I went, picking up the pristine 206 I've been waiting for, or so I thought.
when I arrived, the car was... well... not as beautiful as it used to be.
scratches all over the place (particularly because of cats!), dings here and there, cracked high-mounted stop lamp (functions normally though), original 185/65 michelin xh1's on the rear (hey those are 9 years old!!) and unknown-brand 185/60's on the front, dead speedo, dead clock bulb, as well as noises from the front suspension and the engine bay... *sigh*
thank god electrical was okay, engine ran fine, all exterior lights worked.
took it to the authorized stealership, had the oil changed, refrigerant recharged, timing belt + tensioner changed, drive belt + roller + tensioner changed as well... total bill was something around 3 million IDR, or about 200 GBP. *another sigh*
for the upcoming visit to the shop (no more stealership, thanks), I'm planning to replace worn-out suspension components as well as the tires... and possibly have all fluids flushed as well; I can't stand imagining having brake and PS fluids that's almost half of my age.
that's all I wanted to rant about... so far... lol Last edited by dhaninugraha on Wed Jul 21, 2010 10:05 am; edited 1 time in total

is it? thanks a lot!
when I picked it up from the PO, I was surprised to see it still has the original paint... albeit with quite a few scratches here and there, not to mention the dings on the rear right fender

yep, I was actually quite surprised that the labor cost is very cheap compared to the stealerships in the rest of the world.
I'm planning to upgrade the brakes and suspension, and get new tires as well... and perhaps get rid of some body fat...
then sign up for the local autocross event
