#1: Peugeot 206 1.6 HDI Author: Goldin, Location: Pula , CroatiaPosted: Thu Jul 22, 2010 4:57 am ---- Here is my 206. The car is produced in february 2006, and I bought it in november 2009. It had 58 000 km then,it was lowered with FK lowering springs, and Brock B20 15" rims.
After a few months,I have bouhgt O.Z. Ultraleggera 7x15 rims and Toyo Proxes T-1R tyres.
I didn't liked old rims, they were too heavy, and car was uncomfortable.
I also fitted Cupra R front splitter.
Here are some fresh photos
The latest detail.

IMO Peugeot 206 is one of the best looking cars and with a few bits it can look different and much better, there is no need to make a huge changes.
Some little mods are waiting to be done soon, and I'll keep you informed

#10: Re: Peugeot 206 1.6 HDI Quiksilver Author: Goldin, Location: Pula , CroatiaPosted: Wed Jul 28, 2010 1:52 am ---- Yesterday I visited my friend Sasha Radola (he was driving formula renault in UK in 2009,I think...) and he made wheel alignment on my 206.
Steering wheel wasn't straight, and it was slightly falling to left.
The car was oversteering and it was unpredictable.
First owner didn't made wheel alignment after he lowered the car but now is all done, and the car is more stiffer, progressive and it is pleasure to drive.
And then, they took off my wheels
...because christmas present came earlier this year

#15: Re: Peugeot 206 1.6 HDI Quiksilver Author: Pagey, Location: S-O-TPosted: Mon Aug 09, 2010 6:13 am ---- Whats the profile on your tyres with the Brock 15" rims? And how much was it lowered by? Asking because im thinking of lowering mine also thanks, nice car by the way.
#16: Re: Peugeot 206 1.6 HDI Quiksilver Author: Goldin, Location: Pula , CroatiaPosted: Wed Aug 11, 2010 6:09 am ---- Car is lowered about -40 mm,but it is lower also because the tyre profile is 195/50 15. On Brock rims was also 195/50 15 but T1-R tyre.
#17: Re: Peugeot 206 1.6 HDI Quiksilver Author: Goldin, Location: Pula , CroatiaPosted: Wed Aug 25, 2010 8:26 am ---- We went to Slovenia a few days ago to buy new OEM brake pads, and front discs.
Now we are braking properly, without any anoying noises.
I adore this car,the way it looks, the way it drives and the fuel consumption
Suspension in next on upgrade list, and I think that then it will drive as it should.

#20: Re: Peugeot 206 1.6 HDI Quiksilver Author: Goldin, Location: Pula , CroatiaPosted: Mon Nov 15, 2010 3:42 am ---- It's time to make update on this thread.
I've passed about 4000 m on that R1-R tyre, and it is glued with road in dry conditions, but ricky on wet and aquaplaing.
Female Corsa driver "touched" my car on parking,so it is scarface now,I'll fix and paint that after winter.
I decided to finally paint brake calipers, and they are now in anthracite grey, and here is also new battery Varta blue dinamic (680 A i 74 Ah).
The only thing that bothers me now is suspension, car is very uncomfortable now because it has old suspension with some non-progressive springs. I'm thinking about upgrading on Bilstein B8+Eibach pro-kit , or Bilstein B12, so if anyone has experience with this combination share that with me
#21: Re: Peugeot 206 1.6 HDI Quiksilver Author: Goldin, Location: Pula , CroatiaPosted: Wed May 04, 2011 3:57 am ---- Since the last update the car hasn't been driven a lot, only on sunny weekends.
So we visited Grobnik Raceway one sunny sunday...
Few mods are comming soon.
#22: Re: Peugeot 206 1.6 HDI Quiksilver Author: Goldin, Location: Pula , CroatiaPosted: Tue Jun 21, 2011 2:18 am ----
Summer is here,so we did some paintwork and fixed a few parking scratches that were on the car before I bought it,and that Corsa driver scrath on the front.
We also fitted RC(GTI180) rear spoiler, and removed "Peugeot" and "206 HDI" badges from the rear.
We drilled holes, and then secured spoiler with original bolts + I put some sikaflex around the holes, just to be sure that it won't fall out
Safer fitting than in Peugeot factory
...let's go drive now ...
#23: Re: Peugeot 206 1.6 HDI Quiksilver Author: Goldin, Location: Pula , CroatiaPosted: Wed Jul 27, 2011 11:25 am ---- Finally one performance update...
Wasn't been easy watching all that a few days in the living room, just waiting in the box for their moment, but I still have smile on my face days after we installed the suspension.
I was a little surprised with the drop ( I expected at least 10 mm lower) but now I am very satisfied because it is more important to me how the car drives, then how it looks.
The problem in the height is even more expressed because the tires have 5% lower profile than original size ( but we can make it look better with 205/45 16 tire size )
The car is now stiffer, but ride hight makes it confortable then it would be on lower springs.
The car is now making me more satisfied with every mile we drive.
#24: Re: Peugeot 206 1.6 HDI Quiksilver Author: Goldin, Location: Pula , CroatiaPosted: Wed Aug 17, 2011 2:13 am ---- Last weekkend we decided to make a little trip over the mountain and the interesting "rally stage" roads.
The car drives fantastic, and is pure pleasure to drive it on the curved roads, now when the Bilstein dampers are fitted.
The car is stabile and it gives a lot of feedback from the road.
We were drivng the whole day, so I have just one photo.

#26: Re: Peugeot 206 1.6 HDI Quiksilver Author: Ghosty, Location: WiltshirePosted: Thu Oct 06, 2011 10:37 am ---- hi, nice 206, im looking for a HDi GTi myself, but i believe bar a few differences (the interior, esp, auto lights/wipers) this car and the HDi GTi share the same DV6 (??) 1.6 16v twin cam twin scroll turbo 110 bhp engine, so should get similar performance.
i really like that shorty aerial (and being a PSA part), what is the reception like, does it still get good quility or is it degraded, also what is the part number for it, will have to try and get one....

#28: Re: Peugeot 206 1.6 HDI Quiksilver Author: Goldin, Location: Pula , CroatiaPosted: Thu Feb 23, 2012 2:04 pm ---- Time to write a few words after a while...
Oil (Total Quartz 9000) ,oil filter, air filter, and cabin air filter have been replaced on 88880 km.
I need to change front left wheel bearing, because it's "knocking" on some road bumps, and need to refit front left fog light ( cat hitted the car while driving).
Here are a few photos...

#33: Re: Peugeot 206 1.6 HDI Quiksilver Author: Goldin, Location: Pula , CroatiaPosted: Sat Nov 03, 2012 2:56 pm ---- Back on Ultraleggera's, and new springs have arrived.
I've changed Eibach Pro-Kit with H&R -35mm springs.
Car in now lowered 35 mm in the front, and the torsion bars are adjusted to match the new height.
Driving has transformed with new springs, and H&R suit Bilstein B8 much better than Eibach. H&R springs are progressive, the car in now more comfortable, and the understeer is reduced.
Eibach Pro-Kit springs are too stiff, because they are made for 2.0 HDI and 1.9 D, much heavier engines compared to 1.6 HDI.
The perfect combination is found: Bilstein B8 + H&R -35

#39: Re: Peugeot 206 1.6 HDI *New wheels* Author: Goldin, Location: Pula , CroatiaPosted: Mon Nov 19, 2012 7:01 am ---- Thanks.
I think that will be a little bit boring on silver wheels.

Yes, the brakes are standard HDI GTI / GTI 138 266mm.
Oil temperatire is activated, so everything is functional now.
#43: Re: Peugeot 206 1.6 HDI *New wheels* Author: Goldin, Location: Pula , CroatiaPosted: Sun Dec 29, 2013 9:43 am ---- Long time without update here, Peugeot Sport 206 RC Gr.A 21 mm Torsion bars were installed in May, and I am very satisfied with that upgrade, money well spent.
We went on EVO track day on Croatian only racetrack Grobnik, and a few weeks after that, rear right Bilstein leaked and the ride was awful with one "empty" shock so I replaced them with some Kayaba oil shocks for now, but after winter B8 is coming back.
Here are a few summer photos.
And this is how the car looks now on winter setup with Michelin Alpin A4 195/50 15, and Partner/Berlingo OEM steelies 6x15" ET 18.

Because of occasionally knocking in front suspension I replaced:
TRW (GTI 180) wishbones
TRW trackrod ends
Monroe - droplinks
H&R -50 springs
New summer wheel setup are O.Z.Racing Ultraleggera 7x17" ET 16 with Hankook Ventus S1 Evo 195/40 17" tires.
