The Clio is able to achieve much better mpg for anyone who's interested!

There are a lot of low priced 172's out there!
182:
Fuel consumption (urban) 29.1 mpg
Fuel consumption (extra urban) 49.6 mpg
Fuel consumption (combined) 39.8 mpg

Thats better than what I've got at the moment Laughing
Clio

Some people believe the 172 is the better car...

Never did I say I would buy a Clio Laughing
The new Clio is very nice but not the older ones.

I'm now leaning towards a Seat Leon Cupra (maybe R)
(I've spoken to Ape)
Anyone else have ideas?

Megane 225 (although French if that's an issue)
Focus ST170 if that floats your boat
S3 (would be an older one actually, so maybe not?
Golf GTi (again, probably a bit older)
Ibiza Cupra

But Leon Cupra R is a good shout, I'd be swaying towards one of them.

I'll get back when I think of more Smile

Megane 225 (although French if that's an issue) Would prefer it not to be french & I've never liked the ass car Laughing
Focus ST170 if that floats your boat Bit out dated looking now
S3 (would be an older one actually, so maybe not? Affordable ones have over 100k on them.
Golf GTi (again, probably a bit older) Boring Razz
Ibiza Cupra - Was another of the ones I've been looking at.

Thanks for the input Smile

1*2's are fantastic. For that budget you'd get a 182 with Cup packs I dare say. Other than the Trophy, they were regarded as best hot hatch of the era. Can of worms I know but a Type R has to be abused to get it to move whereas the Clio is more of an all round package.

I'd have kept mine and tracked it in a heartbeat it if it wasn't for the sentimentality.

If you're bored of the GTi, I wouldn't bother a 180, they aren'y exactly night and day!

As for the LCR, well I'm personally not a huge fan of them, but Ape knows that Razz (you hate my cars anyway so it's even! ^^).

Nothing wrong with the engine in it really, just their slightly larger size puts me off.

It all depends what your budget is though really!

Not a fan of Vauxhalls and I was looking into Fiesta ST as its only a group 13.
Are Focus ST's much better?

However a Civic Type R seems quite appealing. Just don't like the image though.

I've decided that I won't be getting a 180 as I've already had 2 206's and there are better cars for the money.

Whats your opinion on the Civic Type R?

Someone at work took me out in it when they got one a few weeks ago.
Bit too 'old man car' for me Laughing

Narrowed it down to Seat Leon Cupra (Maybe R depending on cost) or a Honda Civic Type R.
