and talking to the lad with the 306 and that vr6 corrado

One of the corrado's and that 306 were very poorly motors! the corrado sounded like the bottom end was trying to escape and god know how much the had spent on the 306 but the engine was expiring rapidly! Did you see how much coolant they used throughout the day!

Did you chat the the guy in the wheel chair running the BMW! impressive guy.

A bit more of the interior gone....

And the new exhaust....

Just scouting about now for some cheap trackdays and i'll be off again.
Considering Cadwell (my favourite) at the start of September then an evening session at Donington.

What size and brand tyres have you got on the standard wheels?

Currently 185/55/15 michelin contact 2's but they are struggling on the faster tracks so i'm going for Maxsport RB5's.

Thinking of getting a pair of mediums first. Run them on the front and see how they perform, then get a pair of softs to swap around depending where i need the grip. At Croft i was beating the R888 shod cars in the intermediate class easily round the bends and thats with part worns on so it should be a chunk better with track tyres.

croft mediums you will kill the softs.. i dont like the r888 personally over rated and cost to much...
ours x4 medium..

I just can't justify spending £120 a tyre to put on a 206 and wreck on a trackday. I was happy doing more trackdays with crap tyres until i wore them down to the canvass at croft. However i love the part worns at cadwell, last a couple of trackdays easily and only £20 each.

Oh i totally agree, but i like having a proper underdog of a car and seeing the look on the guys faces that have spent a fortune (all the gear no idea) when they come to sniff round the car and it's standard after i've harassed them round the track.

Do you know what width your standard wheels are? Looking at maybe changing to 195/50/15 for cheaper tyres
