#1: Boot Latch Open sensor? Author: lnorth, Location: Coventry/LeedsPosted: Tue Jul 27, 2010 4:55 pm ---- I've seen a photo in my haynes of the boot latch (bit attached to car) that has a wire coming from it that is the boot open sensor (displays 'tailgate open' on the display/beeps; similar to if a door is open)
Is this only for 206 SW or do other versions have it?
My 206 Entice doesn't have it, wondering if others do?

GTI's, XSI's etc will probably have it

I was just wondering whether it was for the alarm, or whether it was a sensor etc etc
I know my car has been rear-ended at some point in it's life, so I'm always on the look out if parts of the boot haven't been returned to spec.

Author: EDP407, Location: Melksham, WiltshirePosted: Wed Jul 28, 2010 12:29 am ---- my GLX has it, only because the first owner added it as an optional extra, but that little wire is the most annoying thing on earth, it does not fit properly and no matter what I stick to it it comes loose, setting the alarm off randomly when ever it feels like it whether it be at work or 3am in the morning :L I just keep the wire out now, nobody is really going to be able to prize open the boot.
