#1: Replace Cigarette Lighter Author: dhblewis, Location: DublinPosted: Sat Aug 07, 2010 11:01 am ---- My cigarette lighter broke, even after changing fuses so I have disconnected it and have bought this one from halfords.
How do I install it as there is a connector that just plugged into the one I disconnected see below.
Any help would be apprecaited as I need it to working by Monday to power my GPS.

If so, just cut the connector off and wire it up to the +12volts and the earth

Also, could I hook up 2 cigarette lighters to the wires or would I need to change the fuse?

You could wire two cigarette lighters into it, but it might blow the fuse if you run things off it that use a lot of power
