bodykits generally aren't popular on here so you'll probably get lots of similar comments

#6: Re: 206 Finally Out The Bodyshop :-) Author: Lecktorious, Location: ScotlandPosted: Sat Aug 14, 2010 7:33 pm ---- Shoulda left it in the bodyshop tbh...
#7: Re: 206 Finally Out The Bodyshop :-) Author: Anony-X, Location: NorwichPosted: Sat Aug 14, 2010 8:07 pm ---- looking through the rest of the album i think you've picked an unflattering picture, the side and rear of this don't look terrible at all, front bumper would be my main gripe due to the shear amount of mesh but it looks well fitted at any rate.
#8: Re: 206 Finally Out The Bodyshop :-) Author: Coolspot, Location: East SussexPosted: Sat Aug 14, 2010 8:14 pm ---- Nice job fella, different. I plan on putting some extra parts on my 206 but not a full kit due to the cost at the moment maybe one day.
End of the day everyone has their own taste and being different is everyone's own right. I say enjoy what you got and when your not happy change it.

#14: Re: 206 Finally Out The Bodyshop :-) Author: 2Oh!6, Location: GloucesterPosted: Sun Aug 15, 2010 4:15 am ---- Not really one point I like, tbh. Quality looks good but it just looks like a mess together.

#18: Re: 206 Finally Out The Bodyshop :-) Author: b47t0n, Location: sheffieldPosted: Sun Aug 15, 2010 4:45 am ---- Not a fan of body kits as they always seem to leave a big gap in the arch which you cannot lower it to solve this as you will rip your bumpers off , so it means bigger wheels
I would have been fan if you kept nimrods painted them gloss black have the colour you chose for the car but
Keep angels loose lexarse lights for some some black ones
And lower it with sp arches and gti bumpers spoiler
But that's me
The main thing is you like it
Oh and the quality and detail to paint work looks amazing

That is possibly the most awful front bumper i've ever seen on a 206, and the back's not much better tbh. And the bonnet.... it's very 2003.
Take those 3 bits out of the equation and add the fact that the paint job looks top notch you'd have a good looking car. But, as it stands, it's horrific.
To those who've commented and not seen Ape's sig, I'd reccommend you have a read.
#22: Re: 206 Finally Out The Bodyshop :-) Author: daztastic2711, Location: KirkcaldyPosted: Tue Aug 17, 2010 4:56 am ---- Thanks for feedback ..... As you say cant please everyone .... i like it anyway spent lot of time and money on it..... front bumper i liked but thinking of adding littlespot lights onto it to take away main effect of all the mesh not too sure yet....

If you read properly you would see that i have actually replaced the engine with a 2 year old 1.4 quiksilver engine ..... im not gonna spent £4000 on a car and run about in a 1.1 beleive me lol !!
#24: Re: 206 Finally Out The Bodyshop :-) Author: Lowercase, Location: East SussexPosted: Tue Aug 17, 2010 5:49 am ---- really not a fan mate, the body kit is just, garish and tacky, the mesh looks like it came off a disposable bbq kit from tesco (black mesh would have looked better) the colour.. just.. no. looks like flip paint wich is now an antique, just..not a fan.
the problem i have with 1.1 (1.4) cars like this, is you spend £4.5k on a body kit and a respray, add a heap of weight to a car that doesnt particuly have a pokey engine to start with, and alright to some it looks like hob nobs and tea (good) but... you go up to it, open the door to get in, and ohh..... youve ruined it by showin people the grey plastic interior and OAP olive green bath tub velore seats.. not cool at all.
i personaly think the 4.5k could have been spent on a better car (xsi, 138, ek vti civic) etc...
i like the wheels though.
sounds like im having a bit of a go but i just dont see the point. if you like it, and its your progect that you wanted to do regardless of the points raised above and in this thread, then no problem, its your moneys.
just my two cents.

I think the bodykit looks to 'boxy' for a 206 which is about smoothness and curves imo
like the bonnet though

Fair play for not chucking all his toys out the pram tho, good to see some people can take negative comments without crying about them.

#35: Re: 206 Finally Out The Bodyshop :-) Author: sniper1, Location: Warwickshire for home-london for workPosted: Thu Aug 19, 2010 5:01 am ---- i have to say dont take any of the comments personaly mate, its your ride and aslong as your happy with it then thats all that matters...im not a massive fan of highly modified cars my taste lies in track slaged cars but then certain people dont like that...its each to there own at the end of the day.
keep up the good work because some people will love your motor...others, well just let them have there say and take it on the chin
#36: Re: 206 Finally Out The Bodyshop :-) Author: bigdhughes, Location: Llangollen, denbigshirePosted: Thu Aug 19, 2010 5:11 am ---- problem with the font bumper is its covered in mesh and there's no other mesh on the car....so it sticks out like a Goth in an MC hammer gigg.
#37: Re: 206 Finally Out The Bodyshop :-) Author: Rob2859, Location: HalifaxPosted: Thu Aug 19, 2010 5:36 am ---- Spray the mesh black and put some fogs in, that would look better. can see a lot of work has gone into it though.
