superchips arent great to be honest.

i used to do all our remaps in house and only take them to s/c if i was sure i couldnt get it done right. they done a good job of a crafter (huge long wheel base van) and made that shift but i always thought they were over priced!

On a 180 then that's ok. The car in question is a 1.6.

A generic map is a waste of money when you can get a custom map from somewhere like RST or TDF for about £100 more!

Thing is you wont get 8BHP from it. Get a proper map from RS

he mapped Tarmac Terrorists to 179 the bhp 180s should have lol
and chips are good my old gti had a daztec ecu which pushed it from 138 to 145 but the torques where it made more difference, it would have left my standard gt for dust which has the same engine

Don't forget there's potential insurance implications by having your car chipped.

But you will get raped for insurance (if you can get it at all) for the rest of the decade if they do. Wink And thats before any legal or medical fees you may have to pay.

Oh yeh, completely agree. Its not worth it for a extra 8/9 BHP... A faster car is always the best mod when it comes to performance in my opinion.
