i took it off from the top where you have pictured i only done it as i drop a socket down thier and that was the only was to get it so why is was out gave it a clean and put it back on its just two torx and it pulls out qutie a tight fit.

well the EGR its located behind the Air Filter... so...its the other side... the picture that twed207 shows the end of EGR...

the EGR is this...

well the car work very well without FAP and EGR... the temperatures of removing FAP reduced drastically and gave the health of turbo

I do not have the outline of the suppressor of FAP... but its very easy to make...

only need to copy the FAP...a pipe of iron or steel 60 mm serves perfectly...you need to plug the sensors back in the pipe... but what really matters is the new software... without it is better to be quiet...

in some versions of software ... the PSA program has the option to turn off or on the FAP... this case my car has a new version of software peugeot... and have the option...but most 206 1.6hdi do not have..its comon to see em citroen c4...peugeot 407...

but did not want to take risks in simply turning off by the program ... then created a new map...

so if we got a update on the software thier sould be an options where by you just turn it off?
or do you need it mapped out of the system?

its better to mapped out of the system...

well... you put some values of FAP...between...

to understand...this...you need to understand how the FAP system works...

have a sensor before and after in FAP ... that indicates the values that this moment in this running...

so...you have to give false values to ECU...To avoid problems and errors...is why it puts the sensors back in the new pipe... to avoid errors...

....

the new software of PSA not known if avoiding errors... so for sure...you need the mapped the ECU...

only a master in the remapped´s .... do this...

thats is what i gatherd, i have done a bit of reading on fap. and am understanding how it works. i want to get this done end of this year can you not run a new turbo back pipe with the sensors tapped into it?

#24: Re: 206 1.6 HDI Author: FLaCk, Location: Portugal PostPosted: Thu Feb 18, 2010 5:10 pm
    ----
you can put another turbo in this pipe... or make a new one...to fit on turbo... dont have any problems...

so if you know how the FAP works..its easy to trick the system...

FLaCK,

with you waying the 'new version' of software... i presume you mean the software that comes with the second generation of the DV6TED4? as my car has slightly different parts than yours does...

anyway... i'm still getting it mapped out by a remapper. Smile
