They were going to be on today but the tyres aren't balanced yet, its a garage thats doing it so I spose they've got to source some bolts first, would be tomorrow but I'm at college 12-9pm lmao

Update!

Got these Nimrods on ebay from the Pug Shop in Stourbridge, £220 for them fitted with tyres and lockers, they were telling me they had a lot of interest but people missed the finishing time on ebay, I was very lucky to get such a good deal as these are freshly refurbished in Anthracite. Great guys I recommend them to anyone

Its a bad picture so I will take one in the light tomorrow Smile

I also have centre caps but these could not be refurbished as they are plastic, so I am going to buy a similar colour spray can and do them up before I put them on the wheels

The car seems to be less wallowy on corners than when it was with the 14" steels, which I am probably going to sell so if any one could tell me the going rate that would be cool.

Cheers

Looks good mate, just needs dropped a few mm now. Wink

Steels. Not very much. I couldn't shift mine at £30.

Thanks very much Smile and yeah their exact words were 'You do know you will end up lowering that in the future' lmao

It would look good dropped 25mm and proportionately at the back, but there is an inclination to my drive that I may not be able to get over without scraping if lowered, and my insurance is expensive enough as it is right now, so maybe in a year or so Sad

Edit: The old wheels were in the boot when this picture was taken so it could be possible that this makes the front end look a little higher in the picture, it doesn't seem that high in the metal compared to this picture

I plan to mask the caps as I paint them so I can do the base in anthracite and the lions in chrome to match the new style caps Smile

I've been out and taken a couple of pictures Smile

Humble beginnings:

As it stands now:

I've ordered the paint I need to do my centre caps, the background in Ford Graphite Grey and chrome for the lion emblem, also got some bolt covers on the way. I can't make my mind up about whether the petrol cap now seems out of place and whether to get it powdercoated to match the wheels

Cheers for looking, comments welcome Smile

Alloys look really good Smile

I think you should powdercoat the petrol cap to match, will look better IMO.

Thanks Smile

I've decided to go for it, I have the name of the place the wheels were done at so I will ask them for a quote to do it in the matching shade. Is it easy to remove the fuel cap from the main lock mechanism?

Tomorrow the caps are going to be stripped with thinners so I can prime them for when the paints arrive Smile

Sport front wings, a little bit of lowering, maybe some SP arches and you've got a GTi wishitwas...

Dont like sport front wings, not fussed abou lowering right now. I realise with the Nimrods I am going to get comments like that, but I did not have £460 to buy tempests, £200+ for tyres and then £50 for bolts - i could not justify that when I could get some newly done Nimrods completely fitted for £220

Maybe it does look like a gti wannabe, but i could not care less as I have had fun planning and saving up for these things

Thanks bud, I do not mind constructive criticism... Jord, Mrs_Howey, Daba - example of a few members who have small litre engine cars that they have styled up nicely, no one gives them sarcasm about it. My car won't change back just because some one says its a gti-wannabe lol

I really like my new wheels and the colour, but they look bare without the centre caps and nut covers. I'm trying to weaken the old paint on the caps with spirit solvent so I can get cracking as soon as my spray paints arrive Smile

There's plenty of 206's out there that have Sports bumpers etc that aren't GTi's. Mine being one Laughing

Nimrods look crackin' I'm not a fan of Nimrods but you've pulled it off on your car.
