#1: OEM Steering Remote Stalk Wiring Author: VorTechS, Location: Gloucestershire, UKPosted: Sat Aug 28, 2010 3:19 pm ---- I've just spent a couple of hours tweaking my ICE installation, so that I can make use of the OEM steering remote stalk.
The first half hour or so, was geared around trying to work out why the stalk had 3 wires, and not 4 as I was expecting.
Anyway, in case this is ever useful to anyone, the wiring stalk is colour coded in the following way:
White: Ground
Red: (Twist functions) Mode / Change, Volume Down
Blue: Volume Up, Skip Forward, Skip Back
Note this applies to the stalk WITHOUT the scroll wheel function. Last edited by VorTechS on Mon Sep 13, 2010 1:02 pm; edited 1 time in total

Most patch leads should support the OEM connector, if not then you may not have the right one?

Just wondering if you knew how to connetc these to the two wires of the patch adapter.
thanks and sorry to sound really dim

I obviously cut mine off ... but I actually left it connected to the socket under the steering column, with enough wire to re-attach the original cable if need be.
I can certainly tell you the pin assignments from that point of view?
