#1: Auto lights Author: boozeman, Location: manchesterPosted: Fri Sep 03, 2010 2:25 pm ---- Can auto lights be retrofitted to my 1999 GT? I already have auto wipers.
Thanks
#2: Re: Auto lights Author: rttam, Location: devonPosted: Fri Sep 03, 2010 2:29 pm ---- i would of thought it could be done but not very easily
you would need all the parts from a pre-plexed auto light model plus i think the sensor maybe part of the screen??
#3: Re: Auto lights Author: boozeman, Location: manchesterPosted: Fri Sep 03, 2010 2:33 pm ---- Anybody know if the sensor is already in the black section on the screen?
#4: Re: Auto lights Author: E5GDM, Location: EssexPosted: Fri Sep 03, 2010 2:44 pm ---- I dont think the sensor is built into the screen, I think it's a separate unit. It was in my renaults anyway.

It might be an idea to email him (details on the link above).
#7: Re: Auto lights Author: mattievrs, Location: LeicesterPosted: Sat Sep 04, 2010 2:55 am ---- He copied me after i did it to a preplex 206.There are valeo kits on ebay that fit either mux or pre if you search. They are easy to fit too.
#8: Re: Auto lights Author: charlie-52, Location: telfordPosted: Sat Feb 12, 2011 5:31 pm ---- just to answer this old question its a different windscreen altogether the new type censor is the same as the one they use on bmw`s (i work for national windscreens)
#9: Re: Auto lights Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Sat Feb 12, 2011 5:38 pm ---- Autolights don't need a different type of windscreen
#10: Re: Auto lights Author: charlie-52, Location: telfordPosted: Sat Feb 12, 2011 5:42 pm ---- oh right well the fittings are certainly different so are the censors
#11: Re: Auto lights Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Sat Feb 12, 2011 5:48 pm ---- They can be fitted to normal windscreen as the sensor just measures the light levels
They are just generally fitted to athermal windscreens on the 206, but its not a necessity
#12: Re: Auto lights Author: charlie-52, Location: telfordPosted: Sat Feb 12, 2011 5:53 pm ---- ohh so basically fit the censor a non standard way?
#13: Re: Auto lights Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Sat Feb 12, 2011 5:54 pm ---- You can use the same sensor and fit it where it is
