#1: 2.0 HDI Cambelt change Author: Thundercat, Location: UKPosted: Sun Sep 05, 2010 11:49 am ---- Hi, I have recently brought a HDI with approx 90000 miles on the clock. There is no record in the service history of the cambelt being changed so I guess its high time it was!
My question is, do I just ask for the belt to be changed or is there other things that should be done at the same time, water pump etc?
How much should I be paying for this to be done? Dont want to get ripped off.
Thanks

Some garages will just do the belt, unless you specifically ask for the tensioners/pump. Wise to get all done at the same time, otherwise you may be back there is a few weeks paying again for a replacement pump! Not cheap but cheaper than a snapped belt.
Standard change I was told by my local dealer, is 80K or 10 years.
