#55: Re: Macs rally 206 project (Combe pictures by Ape) Author: macj, Location: EssexPosted: Tue Sep 21, 2010 9:37 am ---- It was a good test day too... I was interested to see how thwe car faired against similar cars.... was pleased when it trounced the white scooby and kept the Civic in the rear view mirror. All in all a pleasing result really.... just need to fit the LSD gearbox now to keep with the likes of that Puma
Any pictures you can send editted or otherwise would be very welcome.... and any video footage too
Finally got round to fitting the tank guard today... interesting job.
You have to drill four 25mm holes in it to clear the heatshield mount points, cut a rectangular hole to clear the H/brake cable clips and four holes for the mounting studs. Thats the easy bit, now you need several pairs of hands to hold the half full tank in place while you slip the guard over the mounting points and pop a transmission jack under it all.
Fitted the two ali door handles and started sealing the bulkhead with fireproof compound.
Next job..... scrutineer for logbooking and then it should be nearly done.
Will get some pictures up asap of latest progress.
First rally for the little Pug.... Brands Hatch Stages.
