As do I,
I also hardly park in public carparks, if I do, I will park where there's plenty of room, or right in the corner, so only one car is next to you..
I hardly park on the road, I did for 5 mins yesterday, and a someone scraped my new rear bumber, was not amused!!!
#9: Re: t***ers Author: Harry, Location: StaffordPosted: Fri Sep 10, 2010 5:01 am ---- I haven't noticed myself, but tbh I swear I've got way more dents than when I bought it..
#10: Re: t***ers Author: boozeman, Location: manchesterPosted: Fri Sep 10, 2010 5:07 am ---- happened to me a few weeks ago a woman opened her door on my door as i was sat in it, asked her what she was going to do about it she replied nothing as my cars worth twice as much as yours, so i thought cheeky S**T, waited till she got back in her car got out walked to her door and kicked it twice putting 2 massive dints in the door she got out i got in mine and drove off i think she learnt her lesson.

#13: Re: t***ers Author: juanfernandes, Location: LondonPosted: Fri Sep 10, 2010 5:17 am ---- This subject make my blood boil!
I do the same, I don't drive my car on the weekends, as it's usually going to the shops, so I'll take the other car.
I wont park it in car parks, but if I have to I will spend ages looking for the unusual space that no one parks in or park as far away as possible.
But it turns out you don't have to go very far to have your panels dinted, as I found my neighbours kid has been opening their car door and dinting my car .
I've been told to put cameras up, but it wont achieve anything since they are poor and would pay anyway.
#14: Re: t***ers Author: Danw_VVT, Location: Herts/LondonPosted: Fri Sep 10, 2010 5:21 am ---- mate go and complain. say that you want it to stop or will take legal action.... might stop it might not. worth a shot!

#18: Re: t***ers Author: juanfernandes, Location: LondonPosted: Fri Sep 10, 2010 5:26 am ---- I would need to 2 new doors, 2 new wings and a tailgate are rear bumper.
That's all that is dinted or damaged and no one owned up to it.
The worst is where someone has gone into the back of me, slightly dented my tailgate - I have no idea where or when it happened.
She still gets on my nerves - but hey cant complain - free baby sitter Last edited by juanfernandes on Fri Sep 10, 2010 5:29 am; edited 1 time in total

Oh we've got someone like that in our car park.
He's a really old bloke with a battered old Volvo, he parks so close to me, I just asked him not to nicely and he now parks elsewhere.
We also have foreign tenants in the flat above the shop, their car is a mess, the amount of times they have blocked me in forcing me to do a 20 point turn.
One day they'll come out and the tyres will be flat! Last edited by CD-B3 on Fri Sep 10, 2010 5:46 am; edited 1 time in total

We have quite large spaces, and I always park in the most awkward parking space, its right by the barrier and no one parks there.
I park it as close to the wall, so there is about a metre gap to the next car.

But you still run the risk of some idiot not seeing you have paid for 2 space and damage your car for taking 2 spaces.

Where on the board does it say you can't pay for 2 parking spaces and use both for 1 vehicle..?

#36: Re: t***ers Author: Bailey, Location: Finding Dr. RobotnikPosted: Fri Sep 10, 2010 6:48 am ---- I parked outside my ex girlfriends (when we were going out) house in my 206 stayed there the night only to wake up to someone had run over my car and her sisters boyfriends brand new astra. There are still dents all over the roof, and all on the bonnet.
We were fuming, the other boy refused to ever take his car round and only ever used his van from then on.
#37: Re: t***ers Author: 206-GTi, Location: EssexPosted: Fri Sep 10, 2010 8:19 am ---- Really hate parking dents it really does get me annoyed. I always park as fat away from the attraction ad possible to avoid them but they always park right next to you. Always try to park on the end but I dread the possiblity of my car being drove into. I sometimes wish I had a disabled pass just for the meter space each side of my car.
#38: Re: t***ers Author: Danw_VVT, Location: Herts/LondonPosted: Fri Sep 10, 2010 8:20 am ---- trust me it doesnt make a diff having that space as said i park in parent and toddler ones with the same space either side. people still manage to hit my car!

#40: Re: t***ers Author: MattyP, Location: PlymouthPosted: Sat Sep 11, 2010 10:36 am ---- I know the feeling mate, a similar thing happened to my car, you can't really notice the damage but it's still costing £600 to repair but the insurers won't pay out
#41: Re: t***ers Author: juanfernandes, Location: LondonPosted: Sun Sep 12, 2010 4:28 am ---- This is where I park at work, as I said before, it's the most awkward space there is.
#42: Re: t***ers Author: grillface, Location: South AustraliaPosted: Mon Sep 13, 2010 4:54 am ---- I was reading this thread earlier today thinking to myself how lucky I was that this hadn't happened to me.
A few minutes later my brother asks me to move my car so he can get out of the driveway and I notice a whopping gash in my passenger-side door that must have happened as I was out over the weekend.
Grrr! I'm going to have to follow some of the parking advice you guys have suggested...
