#2: Re: pics of my new 180 Author: CD-B3, Location: Salisbury / New ForestPosted: Thu Sep 16, 2010 3:08 am ---- Nice, but in my opinion the Vortex 180 alloy wheels are what set it apart from other 206's.
#3: Re: pics of my new 180 Author: Danw_VVT, Location: Herts/LondonPosted: Thu Sep 16, 2010 3:11 am ---- is that speedlines i see?
nice looking motor mate
#4: Re: pics of my new 180 Author: garryblueboy, Location: HUNTINGDONPosted: Thu Sep 16, 2010 3:18 am ---- Speed lines on it when i got it im warming to them and they are lighter than the vortex and make it differant from standered .
#5: Re: pics of my new 180 Author: Mrs_Howey, Location: WorthingPosted: Thu Sep 16, 2010 3:21 am ---- Car looks good,
Personally i don't think speedlines look great on the 206, should stay on the 205's but as long as you like them
Have you thought about painting them, silver maybe???
#6: Re: pics of my new 180 Author: Danw_VVT, Location: Herts/LondonPosted: Thu Sep 16, 2010 3:23 am ---- or white?
#7: Re: pics of my new 180 Author: garryblueboy, Location: HUNTINGDONPosted: Thu Sep 16, 2010 3:29 am ---- maybe a blue rim

Maybe.
It couldn't look much less like a 180 with those speedlines tbh.
Saving weight with alloys is a lost cause on a 180, unless you're planning to dump those stunning seats
#9: Re: pics of my new 180 Author: E5GDM, Location: EssexPosted: Thu Sep 16, 2010 4:03 am ---- Sweet motor, but I don't think those wheels do it any favours. From a distance they look like steelies, especially painted tyre black. Last edited by E5GDM on Thu Sep 16, 2010 4:38 am; edited 1 time in total
#10: Re: pics of my new 180 Author: bertt, Location: chesterPosted: Thu Sep 16, 2010 4:19 am ---- i like the speedlines but i too would recomend vortexs on the 180 to do it justice.
#11: Re: pics of my new 180 Author: Teebag, Location: exhall, bedworth, coventryPosted: Thu Sep 16, 2010 4:24 am ---- i like it with the black speedlines mate
i reckon if your going to get some vortex's then do them black, and keep the speedlines for track time with the car as its cheaper to get 195/50/15 tyres
#12: Re: pics of my new 180 Author: |SGP|, Location: Truro/Falmouth, CornwallPosted: Thu Sep 16, 2010 4:33 am ---- Sorry but I hate them, I thought they were steelies before I read these comments

Thats what I thought lol. If you are going to keep them get them spreayed in different colour would look better.
Aegean Blue FTW tho lovely colour but I would say that
#14: Re: pics of my new 180 Author: garryblueboy, Location: HUNTINGDONPosted: Thu Sep 16, 2010 5:10 am ---- probably is every boy and his dog have the 180 wheels so it makes it diff with the speedlines i know they look like steelies but in real life the look stealthy may change the colour not sure yet only had the car 4 days I think people read to much into alloys theese days it may make a less sporty version look good personaly i think its the under bonnet which counts which is what the 180 is about but do appreciate your comments guys
#15: Re: pics of my new 180 Author: Danw_VVT, Location: Herts/LondonPosted: Thu Sep 16, 2010 5:19 am ---- id say keep them mate and spray them either off white or a nice grey. will give a bit more detail to them and keep the stealthy look.
i agree with your view on vortex. there are so many 180 reps about now. speedlines look diff and pretty cool!
#16: Re: pics of my new 180 Author: garryblueboy, Location: HUNTINGDONPosted: Thu Sep 16, 2010 5:23 am ---- thats what i was thinking love the vortex wheels but as you say so many reps around makes it more euro too and not jap

And what your doing is making a sporty version look less good...in my opinion!
#18: Re: pics of my new 180 Author: garryblueboy, Location: HUNTINGDONPosted: Thu Sep 16, 2010 6:44 am ---- do people read posts i have said i brought the car like this
#19: Re: pics of my new 180 Author: Jamie, Location: Ring y0Posted: Thu Sep 16, 2010 6:47 am ---- It's your car at the end of the day mate, don't let anyone change how you feel about it!
#20: Re: pics of my new 180 Author: garryblueboy, Location: HUNTINGDONPosted: Thu Sep 16, 2010 6:54 am ---- cheers guys trouble is im a mature guy so dont get all wobbley over a set of alloy wheels its how the car preforms looks are second im my opinion

I didn't mean any offence with what I said, it was just my opinion and a comment made in response to what you said. Like Jamie said, your car, do what you want with it.
#22: Re: pics of my new 180 Author: DJ-, Location: UKPosted: Thu Sep 16, 2010 8:22 am ---- I quite like it!
#23: Re: pics of my new 180 Author: garryblueboy, Location: HUNTINGDONPosted: Thu Sep 16, 2010 11:20 am ---- its ok i did not take offence Quarmbo your comments are welcome just whish people would see beyond the alloy wheels and ive just purchased it so may well change the wheels but for now they look ok to me cars that are changed from standerd are like marmite you like it or you dont think i may put some of those chrome flames around the side repeters that will cause a stir may divert attention from my wheels .
#24: Re: pics of my new 180 Author: |SGP|, Location: Truro/Falmouth, CornwallPosted: Thu Sep 16, 2010 11:30 am ---- yeah sorry I just commented that because thats where the discussion was headed. It's obviously a great car due to the engine and everything else that comes with owning a 180! Are they 16"s? cause apparently it handles better on them.
I'm sure in real life they look better, but It just doesn't look like a 180 with wheels like that. I think the reason everyone's bringing them up, is because thats the big difference compared to any other
I think they'd look better a different colour. even if they were vortex's im not sure black goes well with the blue.. Obviously it's your choice though, cause we're all just saying what we'd do!
#25: Re: pics of my new 180 Author: garryblueboy, Location: HUNTINGDONPosted: Thu Sep 16, 2010 11:36 am ---- Think your right the colour is not the best suited there the 205 1.9 wheels and yes it handles superb im not to fussed about people realising its a 180 they would soon know once i floor it and all 200 ponies start to trot trouble is now its hard to tell a real 180 as quite a few have upgraded and done a very good job of it you cant tell unless you drive it

Not from a "chip" cat back and panel filter..that's for sure.
I'd get the speedlines done in a different colour mate - speedlines do look like steelies when they're black
#28: Re: pics of my new 180 Author: garryblueboy, Location: HUNTINGDONPosted: Fri Sep 17, 2010 1:16 pm ---- yep super chip plus exhaust and panel filter fitted by goode racing print out confirms 201 bhp .
#29: Re: pics of my new 180 Author: garryblueboy, Location: HUNTINGDONPosted: Sun Sep 26, 2010 7:35 am ---- i know a lot of you guys did not like the speedlines but ive had a bit of an experiment and i like them a bit more not the best pics but it had not long stoped raining
