Just started driving my pug with my L plates on Wednesday! I have to drive from Surrey to east London for work there and back. It was a bit scary at first trying to get used to driving though central London but I seemed to get the hang of it.
I love my pug! Even though it's almost 10 years old it is lovely to drive, apart from the pedals close together but I've got used to it now. It's very comfortable and quite nippy for a 1.1 Smile
I'm gonna be driving to and from work everyday until my test, I got learners insurance from collingwoodlearners for a month which I thought was very reasonable @ £98
I can't wait to hopefully pass and get to a meet, can't believe how helpful everyone is and quick to respond, glad I found you lot
cheers andy

my brother took out insurance with that company today! seems a good company..i also found the pedals are quite close together, but am used to it now..good luck for passing your test, if you can drive through central london, youll have no trouble passing your test, oh and sutton with all those one ways around the police station, and with those idiot drivers deciding on their lane at last second!!!

Yeah, gave the insurance company a call first and they were very helpful so thought they would be good, the only thing I'm not getting used to yet is god damn cyclists! Lol
I was on a lesson last month and a car cut me up on that one way system by the police station! How do ya know Sutton?
Cheers andy

Well done ukskater01!

i had my 206 when i was a learner, nearly 3 years on, still driving the same pug Very Happy

the 1.1 is a wicked engine for what it is, i've never had a mechanical issue with it Smile

good luck with your test mate, hope you have as much fun in your pug as i do mine Very Happy

when you have passed get a quote from adrian flux btw, their insurance was best for me

used to live in croydon 2years ago was born n raised there..spent alot of time up sutton, wallington, cheam n epsom, just after i passed my test i was at that roundabout and a copper pulled up to me at the traffic lights and asked me to pull over, so i carried on driving and he ended up with his lights n siren going following me round that roundabout and eventually i pulled over, n he had a moan at me asking why i didnt pull over straight away, i merly explained there was yellow lines everywhere and i didnt want a ticket!! was hilarious, for me anyway, so how long you lived in 'slutton' lol

That's mad, I've lived in 'slutton' all my life and have Neva seen any modded 206's, as soon as I get one I'm seein quite a few. Not sure if it's anyone on here but there is a really nice grey gti in morden.
If my test was before the meet I would defo be there, not gonna pull up with my L plates n dad lol!
I've got a quote of £2200! From go compare but if I put my mum and dad as second drivers with admiral it goes down to £1650 fully comp! Might try flux once I've passed
thanks for the advice and I will let you know if I pass or not in oct
cheers andy
