#1: Finally! Author: ukskater01, Location: sutton surrey/welwyn garden cityPosted: Fri Sep 24, 2010 3:22 pm ---- Just started driving my pug with my L plates on Wednesday! I have to drive from Surrey to east London for work there and back. It was a bit scary at first trying to get used to driving though central London but I seemed to get the hang of it.
I love my pug! Even though it's almost 10 years old it is lovely to drive, apart from the pedals close together but I've got used to it now. It's very comfortable and quite nippy for a 1.1
I'm gonna be driving to and from work everyday until my test, I got learners insurance from collingwoodlearners for a month which I thought was very reasonable @ £98
I can't wait to hopefully pass and get to a meet, can't believe how helpful everyone is and quick to respond, glad I found you lot
cheers andy

Author: Sophia-206-GT, Location: East SussexPosted: Fri Sep 24, 2010 3:45 pm ---- my brother took out insurance with that company today! seems a good company..i also found the pedals are quite close together, but am used to it now..good luck for passing your test, if you can drive through central london, youll have no trouble passing your test, oh and sutton with all those one ways around the police station, and with those idiot drivers deciding on their lane at last second!!!
#3: Re: Finally! Author: ukskater01, Location: sutton surrey/welwyn garden cityPosted: Fri Sep 24, 2010 4:22 pm ---- Yeah, gave the insurance company a call first and they were very helpful so thought they would be good, the only thing I'm not getting used to yet is god damn cyclists! Lol
I was on a lesson last month and a car cut me up on that one way system by the police station! How do ya know Sutton?
Cheers andy
i had my 206 when i was a learner, nearly 3 years on, still driving the same pug
the 1.1 is a wicked engine for what it is, i've never had a mechanical issue with it
good luck with your test mate, hope you have as much fun in your pug as i do mine
when you have passed get a quote from adrian flux btw, their insurance was best for me
