Hey guys Ive currently got a 1.4 8v glx but want one a bit faster. what model and engine you guys recommend, i am only 20 so need to watch the insurance.

i got a 180 at 20 but the insurance was killer maybe try the xsi 1.6 its got 110bhp so still nippy and cheap insurance
best bet is to find a few registrations off ebay and get some quotes for different engine sizes and see which ones are in your price range

this may seen like well gay but that xsi looks to be a winner but will i be able replace the heating with climate control and do they have eltric mirrors, auto wipers/lights cuz auto trader dont really tell you alot

XSi ftw, but there 110 bhp not 120. nothing a remap cant sort out ;D as for the rest...the climate control i got told you could but didnt look any further into it, electric mirrors yes, auto wipers and lights yes and sportier shape seats with 4 air bags like the GTi/180.

You'll not get 10 BHP from a re-map alone on a N/A TU

i know i was just suggesting something to increase the power slightly so it was closer to 120 i didnt actualy mean it would ;D

one is slighty faster than the other one and more 'luxury' items on the gti 138
