#107: Re: Project Banned WIP UPDATED 18/12/2010! Pic Heavy Author: JDave, Location: Airdrie, ScotlandPosted: Wed Dec 22, 2010 6:44 pm ---- Picked the car up today from the garage. £188 for a new steering rack - needs must.
Feels like a new car, so easy to turn and the crack and leek must of been there for a while and the cold weather has made it worse.
Truely in love with the car, 2011 will be a good year.

Yeah, I honestly coulnd't do anything if it was slightly complicated. I still have neons sitting in my cupboard cause the wiring scares me.
There are a lot of how to's on here, and as I have said, I knew nothing before I joined here, so ask away and there will be help. Promise.

#114: Re: Project Banned WIP Pic Heavy Author: JDave, Location: Airdrie, ScotlandPosted: Wed Jan 12, 2011 9:06 am ---- What verticals?
The bits in the centre? I bought this from a guy who had it on his own Pug so I assumed it was made to fit and any problems were from my car.
#115: Re: Project Banned WIP Pic Heavy Author: Addaz, Location: SuffolkPosted: Wed Jan 12, 2011 9:10 am ---- I had a steering rack sat next to me, you could have had for £20
#116: Re: Project Banned WIP Pic Heavy Author: j4m1e, Location: BirminghamPosted: Wed Jan 12, 2011 9:13 am ---- hi JDave just wondering did you go to the main dealers for the paint ?

No I looked in my yellow pages for paint suppliers, phoned about to see which ones done rattle cans, then picked the cheapest! And as far as I am aware they have to be exact match so no worries.
Where as I heard on here Halfords is sometimes a bit off.
#119: Re: Project Banned WIP Pic Heavy Author: j4m1e, Location: BirminghamPosted: Wed Jan 12, 2011 11:06 am ---- yeah i went to halfords and they told me my colour does not exsits and i was like hhhmmm im sure it does lol and thanks for the advise car looks real nice
#120: Re: Project Banned WIP Pic Heavy Author: JDave, Location: Airdrie, ScotlandPosted: Wed Jan 12, 2011 6:15 pm ---- Thanks very much mate.
As I said, try a yellow pages. Or failing that, speak to a body shop and ask who they recomend.
