#47: Re: Project Banned WIP UPDATED! Pic Heavy Author: JDave, Location: Airdrie, ScotlandPosted: Mon Apr 26, 2010 12:27 pm ---- Just bought myself an SP grill set. It was all separate so it was £60 for the bumper grill, £18 for the upper and £45 for the bonnet grill. So quiet pricey but I couldn't turn it down. I think it makes a massive difference to a 206 so I had to.
Also, done some work under the bonnet giving it a good clean and some lick of paint.
ALSO, going to buy some pressed plates to replace the manky stained ones I have at the moment.
Finaly my neighbour owns his own garage and he is going to sort me out with an MOT for when I get my ban lifted on the 1st of July, so without a doubt the car will be road worthy by then. I cannot wait!!!

Its not too hard. I had no experience when I started. Just take your time with it. Its easier for me cause I can sit with bits off my car no bother but others cant.
Dont hesitate to contact me if you need advice for it but I am sure there are millions of better painters than me.
#50: Re: Project Banned WIP UPDATED! Pic Heavy Author: JDave, Location: Airdrie, ScotlandPosted: Thu May 13, 2010 8:32 am ---- Updated for yall to ponder on. You better like, cost me a buck or 2
#51: Re: Project Banned WIP UPDATED! Pic Heavy Author: CD-B3, Location: Salisbury / New ForestPosted: Thu May 13, 2010 8:39 am ---- Looking good.
Nice colour-coding job.
But a front sport bumper would make it 10 times better in my opinion
#52: Re: Project Banned WIP UPDATED! Pic Heavy Author: JDave, Location: Airdrie, ScotlandPosted: Thu May 13, 2010 8:46 am ---- Yeah I know I was thinking that too but only if I get one with the sp grill and in my colour. Cant be arsed with all the extra costs
#53: Re: Project Banned WIP UPDATED! Pic Heavy Author: wagsy206, Location: Coatbridge, LanarkshirePosted: Thu May 13, 2010 10:40 am ---- i want your wee baby collie. lol. cracking doggie.

#54: Re: Project Banned WIP UPDATED! Pic Heavy Author: JDave, Location: Airdrie, ScotlandPosted: Thu May 13, 2010 11:15 am ---- 7 weeks today pal!
Cannot wait. Actualy its like I have been holding my breath for the last 7 months and come the 1st July I can finally breathe again. Might be a bit dramatic but you get the idea.
Look forward to potentialy seeing you around too!
#55: Re: Project Banned WIP UPDATED! Pic Heavy Author: wagsy206, Location: Coatbridge, LanarkshirePosted: Thu May 13, 2010 11:25 am ---- not dramatic at all. i get huffy and puffy when i dont have my car for a couple of days, lol.
ill stand at my front door and watch for you driving by. it'll bring back memories hearing a 1.9D driving by .
#56: Re: Project Banned WIP UPDATED! Pic Heavy Author: JDave, Location: Airdrie, ScotlandPosted: Thu May 13, 2010 11:42 am ---- lmao. Well I can assure you I wont be speeding by, a steady 29mph in most cases.
In a weird way though, I am absolutely shitting myself getting back behind the wheel. I have had nightmares were I go in my car and just f*** up - accelerating insted of braking etc.
Also had another one where I was shaking and could only do 5mph on the motorway at Glasgow Fort.
Bad times.
#57: Re: Project Banned WIP UPDATED! Pic Heavy Author: wagsy206, Location: Coatbridge, LanarkshirePosted: Thu May 13, 2010 12:28 pm ---- lol. i wouldnt worry about it man. you'll do fine.
i crashed my old car in 2008. lost control of the back end when a van cut me off. almost went head first into a fence, but managed to spin it so the passenger side took the brunt of the damage. i was driving only a couple of hours later lol. i was shook up, but not a scratch on me.
best thing to do is just sit in the car, get used to the feel of it again. if you have enough room, you can drive it forward to your garage door, and reverse it till JUST before it goes onto kerb. while its in your drive, its private ground
so you'll be able to get re-aquianted with the car
#58: Re: Project Banned WIP UPDATED! Pic Heavy Author: JDave, Location: Airdrie, ScotlandPosted: Fri May 14, 2010 4:50 am ---- Yeah I conveniently have a big driveway. Never thought on that, I will be sure to do that actualy. Thanks
#59: Re: Project Banned WIP UPDATED! Pic Heavy Author: Harry, Location: StaffordPosted: Fri May 14, 2010 4:56 am ---- Really like the cc'ing on the dash looks awesome. Bit ot but how did you get banned for 84 in a 50? surely that's only 3 points max.

Nope. Letter of the law states if your going above 30mph of a set speed limit, it can lead to an automatic ban.
