Crying or Very sad
Drove over a VERY VERY large pothole at the weekend and smashed my rear passenger side alloy and ripped the tyre to bits wich now has a peice of wheel missing and a 10" gash allong the inside wall Mad Mad and then nearly get 3 points for havin a skinny wheel on whilst i look for new wheels wich the copper recons i have had the skinny wheel on for about 3 months Laughing Laughing Laughing

my witness on here is cartoonhead to say i have not had it on that long lol
the copper is a T!T

but on the bright side my misus took me to wheelbase near my house and baught me some brand new 15" league integral a2 wheels with brand new tyres for £200 BARGAIN if you ask me and off to get a claim form from the council tomoz right after i have taken pictures of my wheel and the VERY LARGE pothole and will be posting them off along with my recipt from wheelbase think ill claim for a new set of shocks aswell whilst im at it Wink


anyway they might not be 17" but there pretty nice if i say so

If the pot hole didn't have a yellow mark around it you can make a claim Smile

get a pick off the pot ole quick to just incase it gets filled, before u know it u wnt be able to claim as u have no proof

none of the potholes have a yellow mark round em all that is around the potholes is car parts that have fell off or smashed hahaha

get a pic, time and date, pics of the wheel, phone the council and get a claim in Smile

My mate did it and council paid out £1500 Smile

its been there for about 3 years anyways al be off to get a pic tomoz withut fail Wink or failing that every single street round here has a big pothole on it Laughing

Yeah got a mate who owns a tyre place and he put a claim in for shocks' wheel the lot got £2650 but sayin that his car was a evo Crying or Very sad mines a french dog turd Mad

i can confirm there was 4 ALLOYS on the car.

it would be good to see the video/photo evidence to back up his 3mths and if he has its good to see that there stalking drivers for 3mth for the offence of drivin on a spacesaver.

deffo get photos of the pot hole and get a claim in.

You'll get jack s**t without a 3rd party witness and photographs of the damage at the time of the incident. Not pictures when you got home.

this is important hench to make sure u notice it, its going bold Razz

a member on here "Jamie" has a 180 and he hit a pot hole i do belive and feked a wheel and some expensive coilovers. anyway they threw his claim out as he could not quote the neareast lampost number!

silly i know im just passing on the mesage
just thought i would let you know the heads up! as they will try anythink to get out of paying you so be prepared (Y)

I did the same thing almost, i was on my way to see stuart on here to get a new exhaust and was coming round a big long bend and there was.. no joke.. a crateor on the bend. Triggered the 'inearsha'(sorry cant spell it) swich, middle of no-where with no-where to walk to. Had to join the AA which cost me about £150 quid for the bloke to just press a button... I was beyond p**sed off.. got a picture of it but never got round to making a claim.. Grrrr!

I won my claim against the council.

In fact, I received a HELL of a lot more than I originally anticipated.

If you're prepared to do your research and take your time (council will not be in a rush to pay you out) then you'll get a pay out.

alright hebby, where abouts in oldham is this pothole. truth be told. oldhams roads are horrendous. we pay our road tax just like every other town and still our roads are in need of repairs all across the town. im from chadderton by the way.
