Sounds like a dog in terms of a car, but that colour, oh my days, im in love. If my car dopes ultimately end up being scrapped, how would i go about fixing the engine cut out problem? I remember reading a long time ago about the coil pack? Might offer 800 and see if i can take it on as a project.
Also the guy doesnt want anyone test driving so its all very dodgy, but god damn, the colour!

I hate the interior! 9 previous owners too, something dodgy around that.

hell no, inside would need to be put right, absolute mess. Full leather interior could work

Nice colour. Needs the wheels refurbing darker colour I think, and rear lights changing. I would also never ever buy a car without test driving it. He's mentioned the fault and said its happened only 5 times. This could be the truth, but I imagine its happening more than that. Also, the interior doesn't suit the car, I'd want to get full leather seats in there.

At least get it idling for 10 minutes and see how it runs. He may say he's tried everything, but Im sure there's some things he hasn't done. That random cut out idling thing could be lots of things, so I'd recommend having a bit of cash on the side to throw at the problem should it be more consistent than your led to believe.

I think the later rg interior would be better, with the brown, make the dash and black bits the same colour brown and it's a winner, altho I'd rather the normal green gti

Love the colour, but everything else about that car screams walk away, the engine cut out problem if I had to guess sounds like a faulty relay (probably coroded wire)in the fan preventing low speed setting coming on what could make it cut out due to engine overheating, but things like having five door front seats fitted in a 3door car should be an mot failure as far as I'm aware, so sounds like he has paid some one to do a guvvy job on the mot, personaly id just buy a diff pug and respray it that color myself
