A member of their forum was looking at getting one and I thought some of you may like to read and contribute to the debate for and against! Some interesting opinions

The driving position isn't perfect but neither is the Clio. Also why would anybody choose a 106 GTi or a 205 as an everyday prospect over the 206? Good cars back in the day but refinement and safety are a generation behind. People also think the 205 is some sort of supercar in the corners but it's nothing special these days.

They'd understeer, lift off oversteer, do little power slides (in 1st gear only though!) and were far more entertaining than any of the front wheel drive cars available back then. Those only brought up with FWD cars missed out on so much.
I remember the front page of Autocar at the time "what handles like a Porsche, is more fun than a GTi and costs only £4200?"

It's personal opinion at the end of the day - not everyone likes the 206 either! I think the 309 is better looking than the 205 as well which is some what contradictory to popular belief

yes i am a member of the above owners forum that doesnt make my opinion bias if i thought the car was crap i would of sold it a long time ago but i do genuinely like the car hence why iv kept it for so long and have no intentions of selling.
im just giving the honest opinion of someone who has lived with the car for quite a long time and many miles of enjoyable driving in answer to the original question.
^^^^ my reply lol people pee me off who slate cars they have never owned or even driven i know the 180s not the best car in the world and not to everyones taste but iv genuinely been happy with mine and never had any problems with either 206 iv owned
